Sep 13th 2010 2:01PM Totally agreed. If this can make even some of the profits of Farmville and put those towards a new Mechwarrior game, then bang on to them and to the hardcore gamer.
I'll try this in an iphone. It looks far more fun than farmville ...
Dec 1st 2008 12:27PM Just kick em, or if you need to do it by the book ...
Change the rules, so that being annoying or spamming chat or pointless chatter all the time is banned. Also say this is down to officer's discrection.
Then kick em.
Oct 3rd 2008 4:22AM Dude, its cool you know about Lothars' belt and stuff, but if you read the comic he clearly picked it up in Ogrimmar, where I guess it was stashed by whichever Hordie ganked Lothar back in Warcraft 2.
Lothar raised him as a child. Its all quite obvious.
Jul 24th 2008 3:19PM Back in 1996 I was gathering oil as a resourcein Warcraft 2 when most of you small minded haters were still nursing Gameboys, so if you honestly have a problem with this, I suggest you just suck on it or go play Lord of the Ring Online, as someone else more politely suggested.
Warcraft = Techno fantasy. has done for over 10 years. Deal with it.
Jul 21st 2008 6:30AM Look, for the last time, its not your game sunshine, its not mine, its Blizzard's. You may have got a bit confused there.
As I said 3 posts ago, this kind of technology is very much a part of the Warcraft universe, you are a bit silly if you cannot see that.
Its cool and it reminds me of Death's Chopper from Pratchets' Soul Music. If you don't like it, ignore it, deal with it, or go whinge about the rainbows in Diablo ...
Jul 21st 2008 4:38AM Well, there have been Zeppelins, Flying machines and Submarines since Warcraft 2, frankly I'm surprised it took them this long. Warcraft has always had a light hearted anarchronistic feel to it.
And they rock. So less QQ please.
Jul 8th 2008 10:17AM Genius stuff. Thanks !
Jun 20th 2008 6:17AM Shame we've degenerated to casual vs hardcore mode, but this time round there have been a couple of really well written constructive posts, and big gratz to those.
So here's my 2pence.
Casuals need to accept that not everything in life or WOW is easy, especially raiding. But there are plenty of ways of achieving in the game without raiding. Getting my netherdrake and epic flight form, making my wicked tribal leather crafter epics, and more besides have all been worth it. Now, I'm really really enjoying levelling an Alt.
Hardcores really need to stop thinking about the game as 'their game', and the small minority of them that are elitist and snobby towards casuals (who just have less time, not necessarily skill) need to grow up and drop it now. Its Blizzard's game, not theirs, they just choose to play.
Enjoy the success of winning for what it is, but don't hold onto it for too long or too viciously, or else your victory becomes hollow. Move onto the next challenge. Just like life...
As someone else said, we all need each other in this game, and as Wrath approaches, the casual / hardcore divide will hopefully be broken down a little, but not too much. We still need those leet players to show the rest of us how it is done.
I personally cannot wait for Lake Wintergrasp, with the potential to have every horde on my server fighting every alliance for possession of a massive fortress, all using siege engines and flying mounts. Then it truly will be World of Warcraft... So much scope for glory there...
