Mar 20th 2007 6:49PM I'm an officer of an all-female guild. We have 129 genuine accounts in our guild, are very casual, relaxed and absolutely drama-free. We have many alts of girls who play in mixed guilds on other servers and sometimes just want to chill in our friendly environment, I suppose.
Some of our members raid with their mains on other servers (up to Naxx and Karazhan) but those are the minority. I think it was on wow_ladies that someone said that most girls probably lack the dedication that a guild of the playing level that Nihilum has requires. I agree. It's only Nihilum's explanation that doesn't sit with me, because that's BS. But whatever floats their boat. I know D&T have had female members in the past, don't know about their current state of things.
I will say that I have more fun in guild groups with the girls than I had raiding with a small alliance of ours. It might sound stereotypical, but we would whisper amongst each other how the guys in our alliance were such boys, as 'ur mom' jokes and burps were very prevalent during our raids.
Jan 26th 2007 1:46PM I've actually seen a khorium spawn this very morning, in the Great Fissure in Hellfire Peninsula. It looked very shiny. Then I moved on, because my wittle level 61 warrior only has mining 343.
Dec 25th 2006 7:23AM @7: If you can't find something in vBagnon, then surely you haven't set it up right. For stuff like water, potions, etc I have set up a category for Consumables and if I want to I get nothing but those displayed in my bags. A trinket category comes with it right from the start. And in a hurry, /find will open a separate window with just that item. Don't confuse Bagnon with vBagnon, two entirely different mods.
Oct 26th 2006 9:21AM 5. Scarlet Monastery - The classic, and sometimes one gets the impression the only instance people run before they hit 60. Great loot, and the wing design that allows shorter runs.
4. Zul'Farrak - very different in design because it's outside, and the stairs script is still exciting to this day.
3. Blackfathom Deeps - the underdog of instances. Take a warlock or an underwater breathing potion, and you'll find one of the prettiest instances out there.
2. Dire Maul - I've only been to East and West, but the scenery is really beautiful and it's such a wonderful refreshing change after the gloomy instances like BRD or Stratholme.
1. Shadowfang Keep - A must-visit for any cloth-wearer, and I got a wonderful sense of immersion and story there, in Arugal's dark castle. I always gladly go there.
Oct 8th 2006 6:42PM This instance is fabulous for loot runs, because if you turn right at the entrance, you're on a direct route towards the end boss. It's the first instance with plate drops, and of course it has the uber-robe, the aforementioned Robes of the Lich.
But not only that, I find you get great fun moments in there. The boss of the gong fight is creepy as heck (if you hate spiders like me) and I still have to laugh every time I see Mordresh on his pile of bones, with his crew of headbanging skeletons.
With my current main I have made it a point to run every single instance in the game, and RFD is one of my favorites. My other favorites are Blackfathom Deeps (really beautiful underwater), Shadowfang Keep, and I enjoyed Inner Maraudon. I pretty much despise Gnomeregan, and would like Uldaman better if the loot-tables were just a bit nicer.
Sep 22nd 2006 2:49AM I'm one of those crazy life-tapping warlocks, but I never expect to be healed. I have a lot of options for regaining life after all. If my life is really low, I will just slap on a heavy runecloth bandage, otherwise I will just use Siphon Life and maybe Drain Life at the next fight. I like using Drain Life, it makes Nightfall proc more often.
Our priest heals us anyway on our guild runs, mostly using Renew, and that's fine, but I never expect heals. Only rude people would.
Sep 15th 2006 11:33AM As a casual player, I've just managed to level a warlock to 60, my second level 60 character after 1.5 years of playtime. The previous character was mostly solo'd to 60, but with my warlock I am in a fabulous guild and finally exploring content others have seen ages ago.
This weekend, I'll have my first trip to Dire Maul with the guild, and I am also hoping to make great inroads into the mat gathering for my dreadsteed quest. :)
Aug 29th 2006 3:12AM I wore my Berylline Pads from level 30 to level 57, until Kentic Amice dropped for me in BRD. I just couldn't find any better cloth shoulders ever.
I am a 58 lock now, and am still running around in Robes of the Lich, and Necromancer's Leggings in my +damage gear. At least I have an epic stuff to make me feel l33t. ;)
Jan 26th 2006 12:03PM The Silithids, handsdown. Any Silithid hive. I am highly repulsed by the ones in the Barrens, and will never forget the yucky feeling of disgust upon investigating the hive in Feralas. I have actively avoided Silithus so far. Nasty!
Jan 23rd 2006 3:47AM Duh, I should read about linking the next time I try to use HTML in a comment. :) The link would be http://www.pacificepoch.com/blog/46367_0_26_0_C/
