Drama Mamas: What to do after inappropriate chat between wife and guildie {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2011 2:16PM Like Robin says, you have to BOTH want it. This isn't a road traveled by few. I've seen this, and similar, happen many times.

Also the guildmate didn't coerce your wife into doing anything, at best she was a willing participant, and at worst she could have initiated it. She's just as at fault as guildmate. Straighten THAT out first, then put distance on the situation. This is one of those times where you have to be able to say "its just a game" and walk away. Not completely from the game, but from where you are in it. If you want to continue playing WoW together, then like was suggested, a fresh-start is required.

We tend to try to let ourselves feel better by thinking that our loved ones weren't at fault, or that something happened that justified their actions. You have to see them for what they are and what they did. Then you can move on.

5 things Blizzard should implement from other MMOs {WoW}

Feb 4th 2011 4:46PM I don't like the idea of Vanity slots. I like that as you get armor, your look changes. It adds a lot to the immersion. It gives you an extra bonus for actually completely a tier set, so you match.

I'm already annoyed when people use those iron dwarf buffs or the timbermaw stick. I'm storming this dungeon with fellow soldiers of the Horde(/Alliance) not a damn ewok.

Picture someone wearing some multi-colored pajama suit from Outland. Yeah.. that'd be epic ... /bleh.

Officers' Quarters: Speechless {WoW}

ThePuG doesn't use Vent/voice because Gevlon feels that its mostly use to make up for the fact that people don't learn fights. This proves that you CAN be successful without vent, but it doesn't prove that its optimal. Just like any tool, Vent is wonderful if used properly.

If a guild is struggling through content then I think they should use every aid they can. In this particular case lack of a mic doesn't even really seem like the biggest problem this healer has. She doesn't want to take the time/gold to enchant her gear, or learn the fight. Just watching a strat video should answer 50% of the questions about the fight.

I think it all boils down to, if you have some sort of restriction ( no voice chat, etc.. ) then you have to work harder at other aspects of your play/gear to make up for it, it doesn't give you an excuse to be bad.

Officers' Quarters: Surviving as a small guild {WoW}

Dec 21st 2010 1:30PM I would suggest then just counting average active members to determine if you're big/small/whatever. Having dormant guildies doesn't help or hurt you really, other than make your guild roster bigger.

Go at your own pace, your guild will get there eventually.

Officers' Quarters: Surviving as a small guild {WoW}

Dec 21st 2010 12:43PM To me your guild is pretty large. My guild is about 20-25 people, with usually about 10 people on at once. Everyone knows each other pretty well. We were hitting the guild xp cap when everyone was leveling but now, not so much. Still we do 5-mans together and hopefully will raid together.

We may not get the perks right away but we're slowly getting them. Level5 now.

The Queue: What do you mean there's an octopus on my face? {WoW}

Dec 17th 2010 12:29PM I can maybe relate to them having somewhat of a claim on parts of Lorderon. The living inhabitants aren't safe because Sylvanas is sending undead out to try to convert people. While they're still doing that then yeah, they have no claim.

"This. I am so tired of hearing that everything in every class is completely junked because it's "balanced around level 85." Sooo...since the game is not playable in a fun way until I am level 85, that means I don't have to pay my subscription fee until I am level 85? Didn't think so."

Its not that things are unplayable, its that they're not BALANCED. Meaning that some classes do more damage/heal better/have more threat, etc than others. The class is far from unplayable. Also saying that its balanced for 85 is completely fair, just like you don't expect every class to be balanced at level 17 or 54, you shouldn't expect it at 80. 80 used to be end-game now its not. The game is preparing for 85 being end game. If you don't like it, take a hiatus until Cataclysm comes out.
