Jul 21st 2011 6:57PM That brings up a good point for me, personally. I was looking at the screenshot dickishly thinking to myself "hee hee, that guy hasn't killed Occu'thar yet," but when I loaded up my own character page (to get some horrible self-satisfaction from a green box in the BH section) I was surprised to find mine still yellow as well. I killed Occu'thar last week with my guild but for some reason it didn't count the kill (which... was... WAY easier on week two than it was on week one).
Yes, I'm a horrible person, but hey, where's my Occu'thar kill!?

Apr 20th 2011 7:38PM I too had my disconnection problems start right around Cataclysm's launch, and they still persist to this day. I went from the guy who was always the dependable tank, to regularly getting DC'd, and praying that I was not only still alive but... *had aggro*... when I came back online.
Heroics were much less of a deal than raids have been. My guild still laughingly declares that "Ol' Gamlin's been Broadstripe'd" (my ISP, only one in town). But my guild is so entrenched in our server that changing is just not an option, and so every day there's the constant fear of getting disconnected during what would have been our guild's first defeat of a boss.
My guild has been very supportive, but my household has between two and three people who are often raiding simultaneously, and will ALL get DC'd when the gods of packet loss decide that now is that time again. It is a new element to the game, and one that I really don't care for. But having spent a grand or more on various hardware replacements, service changes, and wasted hours on research, there's just nothing more I can do about it.
I feel like whatever happened to the internet last November has just plum defeated me, and it's made my WoW experience less enjoyable, though I don't blame WoW for it... nor can I simply stop playing.
Damn you, Internet. And damn packet loss.

Apr 7th 2011 11:20AM I had just bought a Haunted Memento for my Death Knight a few days ago. I liked the idea of a Death Knight being constantly haunted by the horrible things he did before being liberated (not an RP player... just RP curious).
The guy I bought it from broke down a little and begged me to take my money back and return the memento, which I begrudgingly did. Then I went right to the Auction House and found another one for a slightly higher price.
Mar 31st 2011 4:13PM I had a LOT of problems with this app related to crashes, and many crashes caused loss of work, even several minutes of it. I quickly got used to making a couple changes during editing and hitting the "X" button in the upper right to make sure they got saved.
If someone tells me how to actually import music to use in videos, let me know. Even when I decided one of the included tracks was worth playing around with, every time I tried to adjust the volume down it silenced the track completely until I deleted the audio track and re-added it.
All that said, I love the interface and want it to get fixed so that I can use it without fear of losing work. The only feature request I have after using it for a couple days (assuming all other problems or questions are resolved) is that it would be awesome if music tracks added to the project did not HAVE to start at 0:00, but could start after a silent intro period.
Very cool app though. Again, I love their approach.
Jan 25th 2011 2:30PM Blacksmithing BOE epics are gaining a socket (at the cost of some stats) after 4.0.6. That makes the Hardened Elementium Hauberk and Hardened Elementium Girdle somewhat more appealing. I made them and have them equipped and ready for 4.0.6, whenever it decided to come around.
Dec 15th 2010 3:26PM Wait. I thought that Parry was not a 100% damage reduction anymore. Wasn't it turning into a 50% damage reduction, then a 50% reduction on the next attack? What happened there? Did that not end up happening that way?
If it did happen that way, I'd consider that to be a way of trying to prevent really spiky health drops, giving healers a better chance to recover from the health loss.
But if its still a 100% damage reduction, and it just lost the increase swing speed... well, that's kinda disappointing.
