Jan 8th 2010 3:18PM I'd like to drink some of the STO kool-aid.
Nov 26th 2009 3:29PM Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Anybody else get a live turkey for Thanksgiving? We've got ours in front of the Detriot Lions game so that it'll kill itself. ;)
If chosen I'd be thrilled to have a kicka$$ Zune HD!
Good luck everyone.
Sep 15th 2009 5:38PM I would like to have an engaging exploration for resources as part of the gameplay. It would be very cool to travel through several star systems, scan down planets, locate resources and then go about collecting them. Making it so that it's interesting and rewarding would be fantastic.
Mar 10th 2009 6:54PM I purchase games from the PSN, and love that. However I'm really disappointed on the prices of the streaming movies. I use Netflix and do stream movies from them, but they don't have all movies available with streaming. On the PSN I see movies that I'd like to see, but Sony charges way too much for them. If Sony dropped the prices I think that a lot more people will use their service. Lowering the prices to $2.99 SD and $3.99 HD would make the service much more appealing to me. At those prices I'd be stupid not to rent streaming movies as they would be better prices than the local video store and I don't have to leave home. The purchase prices I am okay with.
Apr 21st 2008 6:05PM I don't mind it that there's an aversion towards tanking for pugs. I can understand the gripe that's being expressed here. As a healer I've suffered with the tank on poor party members.
However, my only complaint are towards the tanks that became bitter but are still willing to pug. Those are the worst as they make demands on what they'll get out of the run prior to the invite, and once they're in the group they ask for leadership for marking. I've never been the leader of those groups, but have participated in the hijacked runs. No question I heal on anyway, and keep the party alive. I get sickened though when I'm getting whispers from the tank on how uber he is, how I'm doing a good job healing, and how the rest of the party sucks. The sad part is that we as a party enable that behavior. We mentally acknowledge that we're progressing through the instance, we've got a tank who knows his stuff, and a healer that's keeping the party alive. In the end we'll get our loot and hopefully some good drops. Just the same I'm dissatisfied with those runs. It's after pugs like that that I've promised myself never to participate when we've got a bitter tank.
Thankfully that rarely happens. When LFG I've been quite pleased with the tanks and DPS/CC members of the pugs that I've run with. Many of those players have ended up on my friends list and we whisper each other asking for availability for tanking or healing.
Jan 22nd 2008 4:12PM Thank you for an outstanding article on one of my favorite unit frame mods.
Once I got my shammy to lvl 58 and to Outlands I respecced her to Resto. Although I use Pitbull for DPS I wanted something with less real estate for healing. I came across Grid and initially didn't get the boxes, but what the hell, I tried it anyway. Man am I glad that I did. Combined with Clique, Grid makes wack-a-heal unbelievably easy and more efficient.
I have been modifying the layout and frames of Grid, but haven't optimized it to the point that I never have to continuously adjust it for the raid/bg situation that I'm in. I have also used Visual Heal to help manage overhealing and such. Since there's a supplementary mod for Grid I'll give that a shot. There are some very cool supplemental mods listed in this article, which is written extremely well. I'll have to print out this article and go back to looking at additional Grid features that I've ignored.
Dec 20th 2007 8:35PM I use a company provided Blackberry to tell the time. It's an older model pass down from some executive who clearly didn't take care of it as it's all scratched up.
