Mar 23rd 2012 4:38PM As a proud player of the Trollish race, I demand that Vol'jin have some part in Garrosh's takedown.
Nov 18th 2011 5:20PM They should have just made the annual pass a billing option that charged the year subscription upfront, rather than making it a vague commitment to keep your account active. The commitment seems like a simple enough idea, but it appears to be far beyond the intellectual understanding of a good many WoW players.
Oct 28th 2011 3:45PM I very much agree! I think Cata is great - I love the revamped 1-60 content, the advancing Horde/Alliance lore, and the quality of the Cata zones - but the actual amount of 80+ content is a little thin. It needed more quests, more dungeons, more raids. It's a bit distressing as a raider to only have a single raid instance of 7 bosses in the current tier - my raiding guild is down to only having content to fill a single night. (Also, way too much Harrison Jones and I don't even know what to say about the weird CSI setup in Westfall)
Aug 24th 2011 3:20PM Excellent video, though maybe it needed a couple scenes of raid wipes to go along with the lyrics. :)
And stop hating on the fact that he doesn't have the range of a professional singer. I think he did fine.
Apr 12th 2011 11:26AM Vanilla, BC, and the Wrath zones were designed to be done on ground mounts until you reached around 76. And, with the general nerfing of Wrath leveling, you can hit 80 without going into Icecrown and Storm Peaks (the first zones designed around needing a flying mount).
The Cata zones - other than Deepholm - seem like they could be done by land. It would take forever, and you'd be constantly fighting all the random mobs a person generally just flies over..
Apr 5th 2011 11:31AM What happened to the 'smaller, but more frequent' content patches? We'll be at the 6th month point if 4.1 isn't released to live very soon. And the new raiding content isn't even coming out until 4.2, and there's going to be some time between the two patches..
Mar 29th 2011 10:24AM Since I mostly play Horde, I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm in love with the Mage Quarter in SW. If I was suddenly in WoW as alliance, I'd very happily move into a townhouse there. (though maybe not next to the Slaughtered Lamb - I've heard rumors of what goes on in the basement..)
As my troll shaman (my main since vanilla) I'd like to claim an island down in the Echo Isles to engage in all the 'recreational' activities the trolls have going on in their tropical paradise. Plus our faction leader is there, and it's just a short ride up to Org for when I do need something from the city.
Mar 25th 2011 4:49PM 'I don't like Lisa's response at all. The least that the raid leader could have done would have been to at least give Vent Troubles a couple of minutes to get his Ventrilo squared away'
VT did have time. The raid was clearing trash. There is a decent amount of trash between Halfus and Valiona's room - clearing it is more than enough time to restart vent or computer.
Mar 25th 2011 4:26PM The officer was a jerk, but VT obviously wasn't the golden boy he made himself out to be since the other 8 people in the raid also didn't feel a need to come to his aid.
I see the situation happening like this -
VT complains about his vent. The RL has the group clear trash to the next boss, figuring VT is looking at *fixing* his situation. There is a decent amount of trash between Halfus and the dragons so it takes some time to clear. When they reach the dragons, VT is with the group and clicks 'ready' on the ready-check. RL assumes that means the vent situation is fixed. VT proceeds to noob it up and wipe the raid, and then gets all uppity when the RL suggests he fix whatever his computer issues are.
VT should have attempted to fix his vent problem, or should have asked to be replaced.
And if they weren't responding to raid chat, he should have moved it to whispers or guild chat. (I've run into situations where the raid leader doesn't read raid chat because he is busy with loot issues and explaining fights on vent and such, and sometimes you need to be more proactive about getting your needs met.)
Mar 21st 2011 7:35PM Agree. This article would have been nice a couple days ago.
