Mists of Pandaria talent preview new ability roundup {WoW}

Nov 26th 2011 4:05AM Heh, how about rogues getting Savage Roar to supplement their Slice and Dice. I love how long Savage Roar lasts, and rogues doing 80% more damage with auto attacks sounds nasty. Probably most beneficial to Combat Rogues? Subtlety Rogues get Rake perhaps? Not sure about Assassination. They seem pretty set on Envenom as the finisher.
Maybe tanks could straight up get bear form with the armor multiplier? Probably Might of Ursoc, but imagine the armor on plate classes getting 120% bonus and Stamina and extra 20%.
Mages will get... Teleport: Moonglade! (seriously Omen of Clarity? I don't know. Innervate?)
Hunters... Track Humanoids! (Probably Hibernate actually)
Healers nab Tranquility.
Elemental Shaman... Hurricane? and Typhoon for Enhancement?
Locks probably Innervate or Omen of Clarity. Oh, how about Remove Corruption, lol? Too bad Feral and Guardian don't have access to that or Revive (seriously Blizzard? Just restoration has the out-of-combat heal?)
Geez, if Symbiosis really gets any ability a Druid could have from any spec... Lord, the possibilities are FRIGHTENING. Berserk Rogue? Tiger's Fury? Tiger's Fury for Death Knights giving them 60 Runic Power? I really wouldn't be surprised to see Trade Chat calling "Raid, 25 man. Need 12 Druids. Full on other classes." Just depends on what Blizzard lets people have I guess.

Encrypted Text: My rogue wish list for Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Nov 17th 2011 12:59PM Well the poison (as far as I can tell) does flat damage per level, which is why instant poison coats the speedy off-hand. If there was no off-hand poison damage, the slower/stronger weapon would up total damage in %damage abilities. Using DPS average would cause major problems when haste is applied, since the average damage keeps going up. Upkeep on Slice and Dice would turn those abilities into ridiculously hard-hitting nukes. Heroism phases would do the same. Abilities have to be based off the base damage % to keep them in balance. Actually, off-hand utility will mean rogues want the slowest dagger possible (Assassin/Subtlety) or even slower agility weapons (Combat) so that 1 of 3 rogues competes with Shaman. Except agility swords. Those are all Combat.

Nov 16th 2011 12:11PM @ Narlic: Excellent Nightcrawler reference. Also, basically what I was thinking. Rogues are ninjas. They move through shadows and should be able to move with something else though shadows too.

Re: quick off-hand weapons, are you saying that Shaman abilities should be changed to prefer quick off-hand weapons? Stormstrike and Lava Lash both use %weapon damage, so they prefer slow, high-damage weapons in both hands. Monks, meanwhile, could care less about speed (what with no auto-attack expected), unless their abilities end up using %weapon damage too. I which case, also slow weapons.

Patch 4.3: Tier 13 set bonuses revealed {WoW}

Sep 25th 2011 12:28AM Hmm, now if only feral DPS was closer to the top. If only you could justify multiple cats to rotate shifting to bear and popping FR to provide some raid healing. I wonder how much healing that would actually do? Paired with a Blood DK tank?

PTR Patch 4.0.6 notes updated for Jan. 24 {WoW}

Jan 24th 2011 6:52PM @Aanye: Agreed. Having to go to the last map of the zone for Throne, plus going to Hyjal for the quest that gets you to BC is going to be something a lot of people will avoid. Personally, I find Hyjal is the one zone I want to complete on every character, if only for the fact that going through the whole zone makes it the ONLY zone that gets me revered with a faction. Totally. Worth. It.

PTR Patch 4.0.6 notes updated for Jan. 24 {WoW}

Jan 24th 2011 6:46PM Based on the groups I've run with with only one option for dungeons and multiple people responding with "Again?" "Not again!" "I'm so sick of this dungeon!!", yes, it really was so difficult for people to find the dungeons. Either they're too ignorant to use Wowhead, or too lazy, or purposefully avoid certain dungeons, so players are stuck on whatever dungeon they're allowed to do. The situation sucked and I'm glad it's changing, although I have to wonder if it's random only that this applies to and we still have to search to select a specific dungeon to use. Well, it's fine. It's all good. I'll be happy to not get only one choice in a group.

The Daily Quest: LFG {WoW}

Jan 10th 2011 2:47PM Must remember, the queue length is about more than just the smaller number of tanks and healers compared to DPSers. It's also that Blizzard threw a new rock at us: you need to find the dungeon first. There are plenty of times when only on dungeon is available to an existing group because someone didn't bother to find any other dungeons. Tired of Throne of Tides? Blame the shaman who just got done with Vashj'ir, then hung out in Stormwind to queue. Want to finish Wayward Child, but Stonecore won't come up? Blame the priest who was questing in Deepholme and ignored the general chat when twenty people were asking where the entrance was. Vortex Pinnacle didn't come up? The Paladin finished Deepholme at level 84 and skipped Uldum, even though Harrison Jones will send you there if you just follow the quest you picked up from the Explorer's League folks down there. Yeah, searching for the dungeon entrance will help alleviate the half-hour searches after a Halls of Reflection wipe when the rezzer had never physically gone there before, but it's better than waiting an hour and never getting the dungeon you want.

12 Days of Winter Veil Giveaway Day 10: BlizzCon 2010 authenticators {WoW}

Cataclysm class and mastery systems explained {WoW}

Jul 13th 2010 3:02PM You're all posting in WoW.com anyway, so why worry about Real ID? Your name won't show up here.

I think we've already seen the potential template for the reworked talent trees: Hunter Pets. Fury warriors are the beginning as far as classes go, getting a talent that makes dual-wield one-handers effective right next to T's Grip. This could really be the wave for our future, with two or three top-tier talents with a couple prerequisites to getting them. Do you want your feral druid to have a crit-based proc that increases dodge/damage reduction, or do you want energy gain from Tiger's Fury? Ghost wolves or armor of stone (Shaman tank already!)? Demonic transformation or summoning a demon ferret onto your enemy's face? Seriously, I'd actually play my Shaman if he could summon Face-eating Ferret Demon.
Lich King: Fools! Why do you persist in fighting me? The scourge shall claim ghaaa! Get it off my face! My helmet! It's crawling in my blarglwargle*
Raid Leader: Yes! Finally downed him!
Ferret: Squeek, squeek? ROAR!!! Cower mortals, for I am your Lich King now!
Warlock: Oh shoot! He was still in the helmet LOL!
Raid Leader: Oh, that's just wonderful. ####ing faillock.
