Oct 14th 2008 12:17PM Also, I've been running around in Beta sporadically (oddly, Beta invite coincided with a ramp-up at my job, so I've had fairly low playtime)... and at least in Howling Fjord, I've had no problems soloing, even several 2-man elite quests. I've only died a couple times due to things other than going AFK in an unsafe spot, and even then, that was generally do to attempting something stupidly over my head.
Oct 14th 2008 12:14PM Aaaah. Thank you, that makes more sense. Is that definitely how it works? If that's the case, I can certainly see Druids getting annoyed (though, it's still a loss of like 5% mitigation for me).
Oct 14th 2008 11:54AM Then please, do the math. Explain to me why 78% < 75%. And I don't generally solo in bear form, and when I do, I doubt that 10% more damage is going to hurt too much.
Oct 14th 2008 11:21AM Can someone please explain to me how Protector of the Pack -doesn't- make up for loss of armor?
My armor went from 75% mitigation (T4/Badge gear/Clefthoof boots) to 66%. With Protector of the Pack, thats 78%.
Is it just because of the specific combination of gear I have, or what?
Sep 19th 2008 9:40AM At least from the perspective of myself and people in my guild in the beta... I think they're closer than people give them credit for. Will it be balanced? No. Will there be 1 or 2 changes that hit after the release (thinking of feral druid changes at the start of TBC)? Yes. But right now, people I personally talk to are fairly happy with how their classes are working out.
Sep 18th 2008 11:02AM The problem is that once the keylogger is installed, it will grab all text you input. That's why it's called a keylogger. It doesn't matter if your forum and game password are different. All it needs to do is register that WoW was started, and grab the next few keypresses and a screenshot or two.
May 16th 2008 9:12AM Agreed - the first few quests in HFP can be brutal (at least on my not-so-well-geared warrior), so I did a couple of the easier quests, got some loot, got some help on the harder quests, then went back to work on the rest of the grind to 60 on Azeroth content.
Apr 27th 2008 8:35AM I use a similar macro because I don't have Faerie Fire (either) on my main rotating cast bar. I tend to keep my healing/dmg spells on there, or my cat/bear form abilities. with a macro like this I can push FF off to one of the other bars, and get a bar spot back.
