More on Black Arrow and Lock and Load {WoW}

Jun 10th 2009 12:08PM As a full time raid hunter, who is/was SV since they killed BM, I can assure you that LnL removed the CD, and Black Arrow does have a chance to proc multiply times, basically whatever their internal percentage is (6%) is the chance it has every tick of Black Arrow to proc, while rare, it is possible to win a 1% drop 100 times in a row.

With LnL multiply procs on Black Arrow, you're just beating the odds and getting lucky.

The problem really is because it's so low, sometimes the odds beat you and you'll find yourself getting no LnL procs at all some fights and it can affect your damage. These days SV feels like a game of craps, you either luck out and get some major DPS, or you don't and fall below the average DPS.

Myself, I switched to a full time MM spec, I feel the TSA dmg boost to the physical DPSers, plus the steady dmg I do is well worth it. Some fights it's not the absolute best for me, but I find myself on top of the meters more often and on some fights its by a lot.

GC: Dual spec will not change design decisions {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2009 2:22PM
Only guilds that don't have their loot issues planned will have

People will continue to have Main Specs, they get dibs on gear ahead
of Offspec, when it comes time for items that are useful to the
offspec that no main spec people need, then it'll be time to get that

With two raid instances going on too, people could farm up offspec
gear in Naxx25 while main spec gear is primarily in Ulduar25

BlizzCon 2009 announced {WoW}

Feb 17th 2009 12:35PM Not to mention if they contract it out to Ticketmaster, I bet they lose 25% of the ticket sale as commission.

Will dual specs eliminate the tank or healer shortage? {WoW}

Feb 17th 2009 11:52AM Depends, it was my intent for my alt priest to do shadow/holy while leveling up (currently 76), but if they don't let me dual spec while leveling, I'll just stick with Shadow till I hit 80 then have shadow/holy.

It had been my hope to be able to swap when people wanted to run groups while I was leveling (I get 1-2 a day when I piddle around on my priest asking what spec I am... I know they want holy, and when I say shadow I don't get a response from them)...

But I'm not respec'ing for just one pug run.

Arenas to be reset {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2009 10:33AM Oh I dunno, maybe PVP servers should have unique rules, but from
Blizzard's perspective they want to keep things standard and not have
2 different games to maintain.

I've advocated PVE/PVP having two rule sets for a while now so that
basically they can balance them differently and not hurt the other,
the only problem is whats the best way to do it?

I can easily see when you zone into a battleground or arena instance
that the rules could be altered by special "buffs", but what do you
do about normal world /pvp ?

If say anytime you are flagged you get more stamina and resilience,
what's to stop people from flagging in raid instances?

Course, I suppose you could make said raids/5mans, etc. unable to pvp
flag in those as well. But outsides instances? In normal world combat?

No matter what it isn't going to be easy, but in the end they really
do need separate rule sets for PVE/PVP

Breakfast Topic: Patch 3.0.8 excitement {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2008 10:39AM Yea, because I just love the idea of everyone having to CC and slowing things down again.
