Mar 20th 2009 4:27PM Actually if you really break the numbers down Druid is the worst arena team atm in 2v2. Feral has the lowest representation of any primary spec in the game in 2v2 right now. Restoration has the lowest representation of any healer and Moonkin have 0% representation overall.
The only reason druid looks even semi ok is because they have two viable specs when DPS generally only have 1. There are fewer Feral druids than Haunt Warlocks or Fury Warriors in 2000+ 2v2, there are fewer Resto druids than Haunt Warlocks or Fury Warriors too.
Druid is the bottom of the barrel in 2v2 atm.
Jan 13th 2009 1:48PM Yeah I wasn't a fan, but of course I love PvP videos and find machinima videos just downright boring so I'm probably not the target audience of this post!
Jan 11th 2009 10:40PM confused by the PvE complaints, I mean how many mobs dispel CC in PvE anyway? This is almost completely a PvP change and probably a good one since CC is so over the top these days.
Jan 9th 2009 1:01PM The reason there are underpopulated PvP servers is because they opened way too many of them at the start of TBC. Don't try to read more into it then that.
There basically is no difference between the two servers anymore, all the PvP is pretty much instanced so the choice between the two is nonexistent, you just roll on what your friends are on or whatever new server they open.
Jan 5th 2009 8:09PM You are wrong actually, WoW was always going to be about PvE and PvP. My guild as well as many others were invited to beta specifically to help test out the PvP. They wanted to get the PvE base done first and then they would work on the PvP system. Problem is before they even finished the PvE they were told to release, that is why MC and Onyxia were in such a sad state at release as well.
WoW has always and always will be about PvE and PvP equally. They know that a PvE only game would never thrive the way the combo does. PvE is content driven and takes a lot more time and effort to create, PvP is player driven and requires more effort to balance. That is why so many changes are PvP related yet most of the new content is about PvE.
Dec 23rd 2008 10:26AM The more people you add to a raid the less each individual matters. I enjoy 10 mans much more than 25 mans and I would just quit raiding rather than going back to boring 40 mans.
Dec 16th 2008 1:03PM That is how I feel about PvE progression at end game. I've raided and done heroics and they are just so boring after doing them in original WoW and TBC that I am not interested in them at all in WOTLK and will probably completely skip them and just PvP.
Jan 28th 2007 2:23PM DOT's weren't nerfed, their coeffecient was nerfed. What this means is as gear got better and better they grew in power too much compared to other spells. Might sound like the same thing but there is a difference.
Its very important that spells scale about equally so one class doesn't grow in power too fast as we hit raid gear, thats what the dot coeffecient changes are about, its what arcane shot change is about and its what rage normalization was about. We don't want another situation like Feral Druid DPS pre patch where it was balanced in greens but too low in raid gear.
Dec 30th 2006 3:30PM If you can't find uses for amplify and dampen magic its because your a bad player, not that they are bad spells.
Dec 24th 2006 2:24PM I'd say the best thing they did was the 25 man raids ni BC (yeah probably counts towards next year). 40 man raids are just no fun to organize and really dumb down individual skill.
I'm not a huge fan of the battlegroups. BG's are easier to start now but they aren't anywhere near as fun. There is no sense of competition or rivalry anymore because you don't see the same people time and time again. Furthermore AB and WSG are running rampant with premades so aren't even worth playing in general and AV gets boring really fast if its all you do. Finally I play on a newer server so I spend 100% of my time fighting people with gear 10 times as good as mine. The entire system was poorly designed.
What they should have done is grouped servers by age and faction population and made created smaller groups to keep the rivalries alive.
