BigRedKitty: Karazhan for Hunter-Dummies {WoW}

Oct 3rd 2007 7:52PM It's a waste to have your pet constantly running after the flares on Curator, eating chain lightning and not doing much dps to them. As a BM hunter, just leave the pet on Curator the entire time, and pop a Bestial Wrath just prior to Evocate. While you clean up flares, your pet can kick the hell out of a weakened Curator.

Having a hunter in the blue beam on Netherspite is a waste of the bonus spell damage that your casters can make ample use of. Most Kara runs will have 4 caster DPS, and they can just trade off in the blue beam and go for broke. Hunters can still do excellent damage on Netherspite as the banish phase (where we hot-foot it to a distant point in the room so we don't cop netherbreath) enables you to FD and drink, meaning no mana conservation tactics are needed.

BigRedKitty: The First Five Commandments of Hunterdom {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2007 7:42PM @22 - seconded. Until I recently respecced BM to take advantage of greater raid benefits, I was running 15/43/3. All the benefits of a full MM build but your pet hits a lot harder. It was the build of choice for windserpent use before that got nerfed but I've had a lot of success running with it with a cat.

I run the trapping for Moroes and you don't need points in Survival to do it, I just switch down to my two pieces of Beastlord and can chain trap one add while the rest of the raid kills one or two of the others (depending on shackles).

I usually topped the DPS in our Kara raids as 15/43/3, except on fights like Moroes where I'm only trapping for the start or Curator where we have certain people ignoring sparks as soon as evocate starts to hammer him down. After respeccing 41/20/0 cookie cutter BM, I still top the damage charts, but I do it on all fights (I even caught up on Moroes and Curator)

More Zul'Aman previews {WoW}

Jul 24th 2007 12:12AM @6 (Shadowisp) - Wowjutsu is only concerned with trawling the armory looking for loot, and using that to gauge where guilds are up to. 99.99% of guilds don't run Kara, just 99.99% of guilds picked up by WoWJutsu do. Which means that somewhere out there, a guild has bypassed Kara completely and gone straight to Gruul.

PvP: Tales of an AV AFK'er {WoW}

Dec 27th 2006 5:05PM I'd go AFK in AV less if Horde would listen to the hundreds of people yelling at them to take the bloody high road when heading for SP. And yet every time you see a block of idiots fighting on the road. I can't count how many times that me (as a Tauren on a non-epic Kodo, a slow big target) has made it to behind the SP flag unimpeded by taking the bloody high road and then watched as the rest of the raid stays bottled up.

Personally I think people who pigheadedly fight on the low road are worse than AFKers. They're either idiots who can't follow simple concepts or are honour farmers themselves, purposefully staying in the area of most opposition and farming HKs. A couple of people on harrassment duty on D and the rest zerging SP works. Alliance are so used to us being idiots and taking the low road that they just need a few defenders on low road and we spend ages there getting nowhere.
