Feb 21st 2011 9:04PM Are there any good addons to export stats into a format that can be easily read (by Excel, for example)?
I'm a scientist, and I like data. I'd love if there were a way to export my gold, or XP, or other stats at regular intervals. This doesn't seem technically difficult, but I've never found such an addon.
Feb 21st 2011 7:49PM What did you use to track your gold for the graph at the top of the article?
Nov 17th 2009 9:48PM Why don't MMOs have railings? That ramp is an accident waiting to happen.
Aug 30th 2009 9:02AM I'd love to see the Soul Harvester http://www.wowhead.com/?item=20536#. get an upgrade.
A scythe is the perfect weapon for a badass warlock, but all the others in the game are Outland green polearms.
I'm still kicking myself for taking the Abyss Shard instead...
Jul 6th 2009 6:12PM Here's a question that's been bugging me since vanilla WoW:
Why do the major cities, including those introduced in the expansions, have vendors selling white (common) quality weapons? Even the lowest quest reward is an upgrade, so they can't serve any real purpose. Yet Blizzard keeps putting them in. Any idea why?
Jun 9th 2009 11:35AM I am also casual in terms of the time I have available to play, but in exactly the opposite manner.
I put a decent numbers of hours into the game, but it's usually in bursts of an hour or so at a time, and seldom on a regular schedule. As a result, raiding and arena has been mostly out of the picture. Instead, I spend my time soloing, leveling alts, running 5-mans, and fighting in the battlegrounds.
Jun 2nd 2009 2:30PM On the topic of the Nerubians and the Qiraji, is there any relation in the lore between the two? Or are two insect civilizations coincidental?
May 5th 2009 2:13PM Something doesn't seem quite right. WoW players average more than 5 hours a day, but only play 25 out of 60 days? This suggests that 10 hour WoW sessions are the norm. This can't be representative of the typical gamer.
Mar 30th 2009 4:25PM I'm a little confused by the huge crits with the meta/ruin spec.
I respecced to this build the other day for a change of pace from years of pure Affliciton, and I'm getting 6-7k crits in normal form, and 10-12k in demon mode. My spell damage is equal to Nick's within about +/- 100 or so. Spell crit is a little low (about 24%), but decent enough for now.
Is there a trick to getting the big crits, or am I just unlucky? I haven't been raiding since the respec, so my numbers mostly come from training dummies and battleground PVP.
Feb 27th 2009 11:46AM I took advantage of the half-price sale on Team Fortress 2 last night, and I'm glad I did.
I love WOW, but after a long day at work I'd rather spend half an hour mindlessly shooting at stuff than raiding for four hours straight.
