Jul 22nd 2009 8:23AM Even though Aquatic Form is trainable now at level 16, I'd really recommend that new druids solo leveling do that quest anyway. You get a really nice blue belt that can last you at least till 40, with an click to use heal effect on a 5 minute cooldown in any form. I recently leveled a druid feral, and between that belt, barkskin, and lifeblood from herbalism, I rarely had to shift out to heal up, which slows you down a TON if you're skipping Furor to get mangle as early as possible. Learn it from the trainer, optionally get the glyph, and that makes the quest itself much faster.
Jul 29th 2008 9:00AM Even though I spend way too much, to the point I had to pick up herbalism, I enjoy being able to chain pop destro pots on raid bosses. Also in farmed raids, hyjal, and ZA timed runs, we're constantly pulling, so we might never leave combat.
Apr 7th 2008 12:54PM Besides the obvious bug tweaks the scryer proc needs, people shouldn't be making a big deal out of this. I thought that the Aldor neck would replace my ZA neck until I did some Dr Boom tests and found it to have a 45 second or more hidden cooldown. As far as casters go, I'm not even sure this is better than the vindicator's neck.
Sidenote: I recently did the grind from Scryer Exalted to Aldor Exalted. As a frost mage, Scryer was great until I outleveled the items, and I wanted the Aldor shoulder enchant for a dps boost. I can't stand to farm/grind, but I did a little here and there for about a week and hit neutral, then bought 900g worth of marks and arms for the rest. It's not pleasant, but doable. The one nice part is that you get to do some netherstorm quests a second time and make a lot of gold for it.
Mar 19th 2008 2:45PM I'm torn between being excited and wanting the patch to be farther off. Our guild just got MH/BT attuned recently, and we're currently 3/5MH, 0/9 BT. I was hoping we'd be done or much closer to done by the time Sunwell hit. As long as we're farming Sunwell before the expansion, I'd be happy though.
Jan 26th 2008 5:51AM I'm so glad that my guild doesn't use DKP or anything so complicated or greedy. We have a very simple but effective system based on guild rank. Highest rank includes officers, and active/longtime/helpful members, and there are 3 other ranks under that. Tanks of any rank get priority, then the top rank, then each subsequent rank. Also main spec > offspec > alts. Whoever needs just does a /roll. Many times people pass on loot if somone else gets a bigger upgrade, because we play for fun and progression, abd guild > self always.
Jan 7th 2008 9:37AM If you're concerned about memory and performance, check out Violation. It doesn't have the features compared to Recount and SWstats, but it's extremely lightweight, and you can set the combat log range to 250 yards, plus optionally read from SWstats or damagemeters.
Aug 28th 2007 10:46PM Less than 24 hours ago, I enchanted both my rings, which put a big dent in my epic flying mount fund. Well as long as 2.2 doesn't come out next week, I guess it was still worth it, as it's given me a nice DPS boost.
Aug 28th 2007 4:45PM Inspired by this article, I did the quest for the furbolg rod last night, and tried it out in Stormwind. Suddenly there are at least 4 other people using the rod. We then had a little "raid" and took over the auction house, it was awesome.
Aug 27th 2007 4:42PM I had a lot of fun using the whelp orb along with fiery festival brew in the middle of stormwind trade district. I've also used the snowman disguise when browsing the auction house for long periods of time. The funniest thing I've ever seen was a Furbolg using the energy shield bubble item from that quest from Toshley's station.
