WoW.com Giveaway: World of Warcraft Programming, 2nd Ed {WoW}

Feb 14th 2010 3:16PM This is a post.

It is not a catapult. Do not load with bears.

Breakfast Topic: Do you buy just because of the WoW brand? {WoW}

Jun 16th 2009 5:55PM They say pop here, too. (Michigan) It's the source of a mild ongoing conflict between the transplanted New Yorker yours truly and the people I live near.

Encrypted Text: Rogue tips for raiding Ulduar, part 1 {WoW}

May 20th 2009 4:47PM I have noticed some strange bugs with Throwing Specialization lately. We tried having a designated interrupter (me) last night, and before we had the Killing Spree/Fear Ward rotation set up I got hit with a fear with a few combo points built on Auriaya. I'm specced 2/2 into Throwing Specialization, so I hit Deadly Throw. It damaged her but did not interrupt the spell, and I had to run over and kick her in the kneecaps.

Breakfast Topic: How is vehicle combat treating you? {WoW}

May 18th 2009 5:21PM Well, maybe I am just a twitchy player, but I play in the way described (keybinds with the left hand and mouse movements with the right) and I still find targetting to be difficult; on larger targets, no problem, but my reticule seems to jerk around a lot, making it hard to hit small, distant targets like the pyrite balloons.

Breakfast Topic: Raiding: How easy is too easy? {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 8:58PM I don't play WoW to inflate my sense of self-worth. I play WoW to be challenged. If we're going to talk about rights in these replies, then okay, it is my right to want to be challenged by a game that has challenged me in the past.

At the present time, I am really not feeling that.

15 Minutes of Fame: The most untalented player {WoW}

Jan 14th 2009 4:36PM Playing devil's advocate - what makes any of those things more constructive?

Some of those you could make an argument for, but... jerking off? Really?

Ask WoW Insider: Loot rolls and seasonal boss summons {WoW}

Oct 21st 2008 1:21PM I have to disagree with this. I am of the opinion that if you're going into anything (be it a seasonal boss or a raid-25), you should go in knowing what has the potential to drop and what of that potential you want. It's not like this information is hidden from us; take 2 minutes, go to google or your WoW informational source of choice, look it up, and figure it out.

Then again, I'm the kind of person who expects people to be able to play their classes, too, so I guess I'm a bit weird.

Breakfast Topic: What about the new talent specs is confusing you? {WoW}

Oct 18th 2008 1:38AM My understanding was they did what they did to the raids because certain strategies that were required for some of the high-end raids (particularly Sunwell Plateau), such as chain-Heroisms, chain-potting, etc., are now no longer valid.

Why they did it to EVERY level 70 instance? Probably for the reason you mentioned.

Breakfast Topic: Does the levity mess up the lore? {WoW}

Oct 7th 2008 11:50AM I actually found the whole ZA thing to make a lot of sense. Here you've got these treasure hunters, who've found this 'ruin' - for all we know, they think it's mostly abandoned. One of them 'helps' you get inside (when he actually needs your help to get inside), then basically tells you, thanks, now fuck off, and heads inside - only to be suddenly slaughtered by a troll scout, who catches sight of your group and calls out an attack. After that, wouldn't you want to investigate the place further?

Around Azeroth: Ghosts of princes in towers {WoW}

Mar 25th 2008 5:39PM Well, I did know this DPS warrior who used those as well. But anyway I guess I'll have to pay more attention to that buff - I thought it just made your character bigger!
