Around Azeroth: Ghosts of princes in towers {WoW}

Mar 25th 2008 2:23PM Looks more like a warrior to me. If not, I want to know how to make my rogue's hands glow red, too. :D

Breakfast Topic: Spell pushback {WoW}

Mar 24th 2008 10:07AM How much does it take you to get away? A click?

Frost Nova is a click. Blink is a click (and it frees you from stuns!).

Psychic Scream is a click. Power Word: Shield is a click.

Deathcoil is a click. Howl of Terror (talents, whatever) is a click. Also, word to the wise? Deathcoil->Fear is VERY effective at keeping melee off you for some time. Time the Fear cast to land just as Deathcoil fades, and we will be running around like headless chickens for enough time to be DoTted to hel- heck. Or whatever it is you prefer to do.

Everything is a click. What's your point?

Mar 24th 2008 10:04AM Get back to me when you've been feared through the world. Again.

Seriously, though... saying that a defense is only a talent is, well, kind of silly. You can PvP in a PvE spec, or you can PvP in a PvP spec, and there WILL be a difference (holy paladins aside). If you walk into PvP with a PvE spec (world PvP aside), there is a high likelihood that you simply will not do as well as you would if you walk in with a PvP spec.

Mar 24th 2008 10:02AM "Opps that rogue kicked you while you were casting"

Why were you standing next to that rogue? Am I seriously hearing a mage whine about this? Mages are some of the best rogue-kiters I have ever met.

Mar 24th 2008 9:58AM "So, when a clothie use his overpowered psychic scream and move 1 foot from you, what else can he do?"

If you get a melee off you and then don't move AWAY from them... you're stupid. Sorry.

Breakfast Topic: Spell pushback {WoW}

Mar 24th 2008 9:55AM 10 seconds, yes.

All I have to say is this: if, as a caster, you have someone up in your face, you are doing something wrong.

The Light and How to Swing It: State of the class {WoW}

Mar 21st 2008 12:39PM Let's take a look at what kind of Fears player classes can use, shall we?

-Priests: An AoE Fear
-Hunters: A beast-only Fear, single target
-Paladins: An undead-only Fear, single target
-Warriors: An AoE Fear
-Warlocks: An AoE Fear and an unrestricted single target fear

There are two kinds of fears in the game: AoE Fears (which affect everything that can be affected) and single-target fears (which, except for warlocks, have type restrictions). What you're asking for is not possessed by any class in the game in any form.

And finally: satisfy my curiosity. Why should Paladins have such a spell?

Blizzard loses a round in the fight against botting {WoW}

Mar 20th 2008 5:28PM @Naix:

Because that would be a lot more trouble than what it currently takes to wipe gold spam off my screen for the few times it is seen (on my server, I haven't seen a gold spammer outside of Trade chat for a good long while).

Right-click; report spam.

Breakfast Topic: Patch 2.4, for better or for worse? {WoW}

Mar 19th 2008 9:17AM Oh wah. The PvPers didn't get catered to in this patch. I understand it's been ages since a new battleground, but to claim the ENTIRE game is getting stale is simply over the top. As both a raider and a PvPer (imagine that. What next, cats and dogs...?), this game has a long way to go, FOR ME, before it becomes stale.

Why the language barrier might be a good idea after all {WoW}

Mar 17th 2008 8:25PM Honestly, in the average BG, at least in my battlegroup, it wouldn't matter. Most of it is people yelling random instructions that no one heeds (at least in PuGs - coordinated groups tend to be on Vent anyway so no risk there!).
