WoW Insider's Cataclysm launch giveaway: Steelseries MMO gaming mouse {WoW}

Breakfast Topic: What are you willing to buy? {WoW}

Apr 17th 2010 12:22PM I am of two minds about this steed being sold for money on the one hand I have the feeling that if people want to spend money on items such as these it is their progative as it does not affect the way I play the game at all.

ON the other hand If i want to think this through to its logical conclusion than realistically this does affect me.

People who wait in line for the new items from the blizzard store prove to blizzard that they can mark up items for pretty ridiculous amounts of money and still sell it at cost.

If everyone refused to buy the mount at that ridiculous price than blizzard would

a) drop the price to something more reasonable ensuring more people would buy it

b) stop doing items from the blizzard store and make them in game items recognizing that a lot of people already pay 15 dollars a month to blizzard and as such sometimes would like to see in game problems fixed for a game they are already paying for.

So when people talk about this being a slippery slope I agree but not in the way people think so. I believe it has already happened to the detriment of us all. So congratulations to all of you who paid for every single extra item,

come Monday morning when blizzard has to decide between some in game glitch or some problem that could be fixed... or making an item for the blizzard store and selling it for pure profit what do you think they will do

Breakfast Topic: A random topic {WoW}

Feb 26th 2010 10:34AM I am not sure if it has been said but there is a whole category of achievements that you left out in your article, which are the achievements that cannot be gotten anymore and thus are feats of strength. So there is a quality to it that means you are just the person who played longest type of achievement which really is lame.

I don't know if that picture is of you or not, but I find it pretty funny that you are talking about how nerfing achievements cheapens it for you. Considering Scarab lord could not have been gotten by a blood elf unless you a faction changed which means you would not have logged in for over a year and that was the last thing before logging in to complete it.

Most likely you completed way after the achievement was hard at lvl 60 meaning you are in fact completing a nerfed achievement. So in essence the main to your argument which to which this breakfast topic is on is false. Maybe it is just a neat photo you took but at least link an that is either a hard to get b ) just taking a long time to work on. or C) an achievement that is in fact based on rng, the fact is that your picture is none of those

How would you change Snow Leopard? {Engadget}

Oct 3rd 2009 9:06AM A feature I wish they had or that they would fix in expose mode is the ability to actually edit video while keeping all those windows in expose mode. My only reason for that is really the fact that afloat is stil broken.

I really wish they would have more programs on snow leopard that were 64 bit as well. I am talking about you iTunes.

WoW patch 3.2.2 changes for Mages {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 2:01PM Something you missed with the nerf aspect of the update is now the fact is that the arcane debuff is only six seconds.. On a high movement fight if you have to move alot you will lose that buff alot more quicker than before.

But you are correct that overall this was a good patch for mages in general.

Breakfast topic: Has Trial of the Grand Crusader been a reasonable challenge? {WoW}

Sep 6th 2009 12:40PM My guild raids on tuesday nights so we were getting our first attempt on the final boss anub' arak. We downed him in two attempts which was pretty good and were on our way to the Heroic mode for 25 man. Not only does everything hit harder and have more health. But the bosses are also on a timer so if you can't down them your sol for the first boss. That was a very real realization of how unprepared we were.

Frankly Im glad for that if we could have downed the encounter on our first their would have been no challenge at all. So I think yes its easy when people have all top lvl gear and are in raiding gear. And frankly the fights aren't as hard as some boss fights used to be It just has a lot of soft enrage timers.

If your guild is complaining about how easy the fights are then go for the achievements and talk about easiness that way

Pachter expects GTA 5 coming in 2010 {Joystiq}

Sep 3rd 2009 8:04PM I don't know I mean realistically they ahve the next gen engine in place all they need to do is just focus on making a new game considering the last game was a year ago two years seems like a good amount of time

Class Q&A: Mage {WoW}

Jun 19th 2009 11:58AM I like the way the new tier set looks actually for too long mages have been in dresses all the times. I think they should do all tier gear that way have two options whether it be a tunic or a whole robe... not that much programing just keep the stats the same

As for the comments in the q & a about the portals and food being so important. With how fish feasts are designed now a days Is the food a mage makes really something to write home about.

And Portals Please there are so many portals nowadays and the heartsthone being reduced to 30 means that if you need to use a mage to portal somewhere then you are an idiot

PopCap's $1 Peggle sale on App Store a hit, specials for other titles 'TBD' {Joystiq}

Jun 15th 2009 7:22PM I was one of those who just bought peggle for $1 dollar. And while I can sort of see where the addictive nature of the game comes from I don't feel that it has justified the amount of popularity that it has gotten. Clearly though for the 99 cents i spent Im not to upset one way or another and I think that is the secret to it as well.
