Jan 26th 2007 10:44AM I bought the original World of Warcraft during the summer of 2006 and hit level 60 just 2 weeks before the expansion came out. It took me almost 6 months to get to level 60.
I had never played a fantasy MMORPG before and the whole concept was new to me. In the old world it was hard to find people to do the quests with and I usually skipped them till I reached a high enough level. This made me walk from place to place not finishing the quests in one area and wasting a lot of time.
I bought ‘TBC’ the day the Portal opened and immediately headed to the Outlands. With so many people doing the same quests finding people to help is much easier and leveling is going much faster for me. The new quests are fun and rewards spectacular (although ugly to wear… meh).
I will hit level 65 this weekend. I am not rushing, but the fun I am having is driving me to keep going.
Jan 26th 2007 3:52AM I feel your pain! My main character (warrior) is now questing in Outlands and has reached level 64. The quests are fun and the rewards are awsome but the gear looks horrible.
My warriors shoulders are green, his gloves are purple, his boots are yellow and he has the head of a wolf on his head (weird enough it's plate).
I feel more like a level 20 Warrior. Back then I also looked more like a hippy then a killing machine.

elf: I’m on seventeen!
dwarf: Arg! I’ll have no pointy-ear outscoring me!
