Jan 22nd 2010 11:26AM Wow what a wonderful example of the advantages of playing multiple classes. Elder Nadox has a feature that you would know about had you tanked the fight. When a guardian spawns she makes the boss and all the adds immune to damage and taunts. So the tank can do nothing about the adds until the guardian is dead. What you blamed on the tank was actually a dps problem. I always wondered why I got zerged on this fight as healer; rolled a tank alt and now I know.
Nov 7th 2008 10:44PM To quote Malthrin from elitist jerks; This contrast on the official forums pretty is entertaining: Holy Paladins complaining about not having enough buttons to push and Priests and Druids complaining that Blizzard wants them to push some of their other buttons. Meanwhile, Blizzard tells Shaman that their button is pretty cool and is lots of fun to push.
Anyway this would actually be more of a nerf for priests than druids as a full wild growth heal gives approx 10,000 healing to CoH's 5,000 (assuming around 1,000 SP). This is due to the fact that wild growth takes 6 seconds (I think) to fully heal. I'm not a big fan of cooldowns on heals; it doesn't seem to fit in with the style of play for me. That said CoH is pretty overpowered at the moment.
A 3 second cooldown sounds good to me. That would force us to use a global cooldown on something else and fit in nicely with the lovely Surge of Light free flash heal procs. Of course if we are using too much AoE healing the other obvious solution would be to give us less AoE damage to heal...
Oct 16th 2008 10:33AM OK assuming the comment system works for once. Elmo; the point of these changes is that you don't need a shot rotation macro as the clipping issue that the macro addressed is now fixed.
Jul 2nd 2007 8:47AM I usually drop a trade skill and level a new one up... I can't say I would recommend it though.
Besides that doing something else is the best thing to do. Don't try and force it on yourself. If your not interested in coming back you will find a new hobby and in the long run that's probably a good thing.
May 29th 2007 9:59AM I miss my orphan that pet is no replacement. It would be cool to bring them into a CoT story or something. They seem to have created some lore for the characters; it would be a shame not to put it to use.
For the good/evil thing. It seems to me like Blizzard want a bit of controversy on the subject. Make the horde have evil seeming races but get the lore to tell a differnt story. It's more interesting that way I guess.
Apr 26th 2007 7:04AM Lvl 70, a couple of alts and not one world epic. Worse than that since playing TBC I've seen two BoE blues drop... two! One was a bugged item (a fist weapon or something that had the wrong equip level -70 rather than 60 according to the wow forums) vendored that. The other were blue trousers in SV - which someone else won.
Blizzard want me to be poor :(
Mar 2nd 2007 11:58AM Making alchemy create more potions each time doesn't solve the problem. That would kill the herbalism economy; your just moving the problem down one step.
Feb 2nd 2007 6:04AM @8 has it right. Far far far too much bandwidth. What was it; over a million in the first week? The patch was about 1.5gig I think 1.5g x 1,000,000 would bring down half the internet let alone blizzards servers. Maybe google could handle that but I doubt anyone else could.
Jan 31st 2007 6:31AM As to the Zangamarsh kill orgres for mushrooms quest - I found the drop rate to be about 15%. Quite low but grinding ogres is good for cash and they are pretty easy to kill, very few wandering mobs and they don't chain. Basically they are the best grinding spot in the zone and Blizzard wanted you to stick around for a while. Anyone else doing it should make sure they pick up the Kill 10 Ogres + 5 Shaman quest from the town above the ogres. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Also the follow up: collect 15 boxes of mushrooms should be done at the same time as the Kill 10 Mauraders and the boss quest from the same town. Doing quests in the right order certainly releaves some of the grinding.
Jan 11th 2007 5:58AM I'm thinking about the Oxford Street one. Depending on the queue though it might make me too late to get the tube home. Not sure it's worth the cost of a taxi.
