Arcane Brilliance: The best trinkets for mages, patch 4.3 edition {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2012 4:38AM You may be missing some of the method of using CombustionHelper. Let me see if I can help you by explaining my thought process and what I'm looking at during raid casting:

-Using a combination of CombustionHelper and combat text I watch for that opportunity via watching for crits. I know about how large a single Fireball or Pyroblast will crit for, so if I get two crits in a row I'm probably in business. CH acts more as a reaffirmation that whatever I suspect just happened actually happened. It also acts as a learning tool to hone your instinct of when to use Combustion.

-I want to use Combustion on at least a 15k ignite AND Living Bomb up. Hopefully there will also be a Pyroblast DoT.

-2 Crits happen BUT they were simultaneous Fireball and Pyroblast - that means one of the ignites is almost certainly munched, and the DoT is only for one of the spells.

Breakfast topic: Worst new instance {WoW}

Apr 10th 2007 8:33AM I strongly dislike Heroic Shattered Halls. Orc packs. Another orc pac. Ad infinitum.

Regarding BM: it's a relatively unique instance style. I think that a lot of people like it because of the non-linear nature of the encounter.

WoW Moviewatch: Paladinypse Now {WoW}

Mar 24th 2007 2:46PM As a level 70 arcane/fire Mage (in other words, worst possible AoE of any spec) I can clear the Armory in 3 pulls. I imagine that an Elementalist Mage (Fire/Frost hybrid) *could* do the entire place in one pull, but it would be a rare player with the skill and patience to figure it out.

Tabards: A guide to cool things to hang over your pants {WoW}

Feb 15th 2007 2:51PM I wear the green trophy tabard of the Illdari over my Incanter's Robes. The two compliment each-other.

WoW Moviewatch: And they have a plan {WoW}

Jan 5th 2007 12:15PM Great idea. I agree with #3; it drags a bit in the second half.
