Oct 29th 2011 11:48PM I think one of the challenges with the new talent system is that each talent is formulated so that it could potentially benefit all three specs of a particular class. This becomes a problem for hybrid classes that have both melee and ranged specs. The common denominator between ele, resto, and enhancement is the use of spells, so it is natural for any CD or damage-related talent to be geared for casting spells. I foresee the devs making some modifications to the shaman tree so that it is more like the druid model, which offers talents that grant different bonuses depending on spec. This would allow for there to be a dps talent or two that enhance (pun intended) Stormstrike or Lava Lash, for instance.
Oct 27th 2011 9:19PM Forcing players out into the world is all well and good, but I do think we might be losing something if the realm's populace are all spread out across various sites with different vendors/trainers. As much as I hate being stuck in one capital city all the time, there is something epic about seeing a throng of players running around attending to their business. Maybe MoP won't have the "massively" experience of the MMO genre to the same extent we've seen thus far in WoW.

Mental Quickness has been slightly revamped - Your spell power is now equal to 55% of your attack power, and you no longer benefit from other sources of spell power. Also, your instant beneficial, damaging, and totem spells cost 75% less mana.
