Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is experiencing a surplus {Joystiq}

Oct 10th 2010 9:12AM Ugh why do people keep voting for VGC? It's absolutely terrible. He hasn't put out a good comic in at least a year (which is to say, at least three comics ago).

Activision Blizzard contributing to Obama's STEM initiative {Joystiq}

Sep 24th 2010 11:00PM @oJMan240o

That's because none of these moves to get on our good side have actually been about getting on our good side. They are all profit moves. Speaking out against the CA law is just good business for Activision because if it passed it would mean less sales for them.

Contributing to the STEM initiative can most likely be written off on taxes because it is a charitable cause.

Amazon offering PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII for $XX {Joystiq}

Sep 12th 2010 4:27PM @Asok Think of it like this: If this was from some other company, under some other brand name, would you still be interested?

"Square" and the "Final Fantasy" brand are the only things that kept critics from totally bashing this game during reviews, and the ONLY reason it sold so well.

Of the four people I know that got this game, only one of them could put up with it long enough to finish, and even he was very disappointed with it. And before there are "well they just weren't used to JRPGs" arguments, these are people who have played just about every US FF release since the SNES (not to mention dozens of others by other JRPG factories).
