Feb 20th 2012 12:28AM the cat looks like an egyptian Mau cat. I rescued a feral recently took 3 weeks to get its trust now it comes around and turns on purring machine and meows. for the life of me cant get it to climb the nice cat climbing furniture.
Jan 29th 2012 11:13AM This goes back years and years before UBRS was changed/nerfed to oblivion. clearing the room prior to Beast was a pain. patrolling dragonkin and stealthed rogues. usually a wipe happened at least once.
Gnomer there was a shortcut people used to skip trash it involved jumping down onto a cog by doing it you skipped a whole lot of trash and were able to hit final boss within an hour. if i had a nickle for everytime a hunter would leave pet out make the jump and wala every trash mob in place was agroed by pet running around to get to the cog.
people are spoiled rotten now. the early instances took hours to complete. BRD a full run was 2 hours min to reach the princess. 15 man UBRS was an hour just to get to beast if fast pulls and no healing screw ups. and the worst among the vanilla instances was that hell hole Sunken Temple. yeah people are spoiled rotten these days.
Dec 19th 2009 9:01AM Last week I was healing in random Pug and TOC was the instance i got. well the group was all melee and me the healer (dwarf Priest). the 4 melee piled up on top of deathstalker visceri and never moved I was casting 18K Greater heals on the tank and COH on party every other GH. the tank died like 15 sec later and then of course started yelling at me for no heals. we wiped and re-entered instance and they did the exact same thing piled up on that visceri and all died then one of the DPS left group and the tank booted me from the group. Lessons learned 1) if melee refuse to move out of poison puddles, fire or acid they will die
2) you cant put a moron tank on ignore if he is not from your realm 3) bring someone who can clear poison or tell the tank to kill the rogue first and keep moving
on a positive note the Majority of random pugs using the new tool have been decent one night i healed a druid tank with 28K hp in bear form and that was after my fort buff. personally im perfectly fine healing under geared tanks so long as they have a clue or arent rude.
Sep 28th 2007 11:41PM This is a pet pieve of mine. Im tired of competing against folks who use a Mod to heal with. the true measure of a healer is 1) during s boss fight the tank stays alive 2) during a wipe you keep healing til very end and are one of last to die 3) you know when to heal and when not.
stats on who healed the most is just an ego trip just like top dps it means nothing. a great healer does his job, doesnt draw agro and even heals other healers on side. he takes his gear seriously and acts like healing is all there is in the game and bends to the moment and not just blindly healing he adjusts to what is happening around him that is a great healer
Sep 15th 2007 9:40AM really you need to look at the group. is there serious cc? is the Tank using taunt/sunder? do we have a suicidal hunter or mage who refuses to wait before blasting? A lot of times bad groups can be causes by inexperienced players who refuse to learn their class or have solo'd since laumch day and could careless about anyone else dying in the group. if the group is so bad that it costs me more then 5 gold in repairs prior to first boss then i ask people to consider calling it. after 5 wipes/90 min/ respawn then im done and i tell them that... I hate intentional dc'ing its rude and selfish
Jan 6th 2007 9:26PM its a sad moment, after jan 16th many guild will fold from turmoil of reduced numbers. it will make healing classes even more critical. the death of even a few could turn the tide sure it sounds wonderful but how many people really try 5 manning ubrs recently in blues? its the same idea as a 25 man raid
