Breakfast Topic: Would you change your race? {WoW}

May 22nd 2007 8:40AM Respeccing your race would be one of the best things they ever implemented. I would so love to go Gnome!

The Creamy GUI Center: Action bar break down {WoW}

May 21st 2007 9:03AM One suggestion on the idea for these types of posts: Rather than just go for a Mage UI, consider designing action bar setups for multiple classes. The Mage UI will focus on a DPS Caster set up. If you were to design a warlock set up it would be completely different. Even more different would be a stance based class like a Warrior or the shapeshifting druid.

These UIs have elements that a Mage will not have to consider.

I disagree on Trinity Bars, but this is an excellent post idea. I'd love to see it expanded, I suspect that most players grossly underestimate how some of these types of add ons can improve your game play and game experience.

BigRedKitty: Five of the top ten things every class should know about hunters {WoW}

May 16th 2007 1:36PM A little threat information: Unless a hunter is melee (LOL) the only way they will pull aggro is from range. That means their aggro threshold is 130% of the MT's threat. Other than fights with special mechanics like the Prince this means there will be other DPSers or healers below the Hunter on the threat list. So while the care free hunter might be able to avoid dying it is likely that his FD will send the boss into the casters or into the healers. In short GG. FD is not a free pass on the threat meter, not if you value victory.

Note that there are many other reasons why pulling aggro is bad, but I thought this would be the most pertinent example as to how the actions of one effect he rest of the raid group.

This also sums up the issue that most (not all) hunters seem to have. They play a class with a complete aggro dump and probably the best survival skills in the game. While these are very nice advantages to have, these advantages also frequently shelter the hunter from the goings on of the other classes. BBK's post about FD and aggro from a boss is a prime example of this. This is why most end game players have a negative impression of hunters. They don't seem to realize how what they do effects other classes because they don't have to deal with the same issues due to their abilities.

There are hunters that do understand these things, but they are the exception, not the rule.

I'll bank on it {WoW}

May 10th 2007 1:51PM Could anyone reccomend any of the guild bank programs that allow you to show the contents of the bank online on a guild website?

Armory data: Popular and unpopular specs {WoW}

May 3rd 2007 1:16PM As a raid leader I have to disagree with those bash on survival hunters. Yes the DPS is down, but in gerenal Hunter DPS is down. The utility that spec can provide to a raid is quite amazing. For my Kara group we have a hunter who likes to experiment with Specs and so far the Survival talents have been the most impressive.

Player ganks woman's character, gets beat up by husband {WoW}

May 2nd 2007 3:46PM Best WOW insider post in awhile. (not that others are bad, this one is just that good) To the earlier poster who stated all the US laws, I really wish we didn't have all those laws. We'd probably have a lot fewer problems if being an idiot meant someone across the street might just come over and pound your face in.

Breakfast topic: Worst new instance {WoW}

Apr 10th 2007 8:47AM I would have to say Auchenai Crypts Non-Heroic. Hardly anyone runs that place. However, on heroic that instance is a gem. Go figure?

Breakfast topic: How do you control your character? {WoW}

Apr 4th 2007 8:32AM I use the numbers and "QWERTY" on my key board for most abilities, but honestly it doesn't cut it in PVP.

Nostromo N52 is awesome, but it takes some getting used to.

Shade of Aran chant, and other WoW fun on YTMND {WoW}

Mar 30th 2007 9:13AM OK a few questions for you guys:

1.) Can you move while he casts flame wreath but stop when it finishes casting and not set it off?

2.) If you don't move and flame wreath goes up in such a way that you are on top of the flames will it go off as long as you don't move?
