Sep 30th 2008 9:33PM With the recent announcement that Honor and Marks won't be reset with Wrath, does PVP gear require an Arena Ranking? Or is it safe to stockpile (since I can't stand Arenas).

Aug 3rd 2007 2:39PM My favorite part of the movie is when Leonidas pushes the Persian messanger into the well when he comes to ask the Spartans to pay tribute.

Fantastic scene that sets the stage for him being a total bad @$$ for the rest of the film.

Apr 20th 2007 9:22AM Did all the Sony lovers forget something? The Xbox360 Elite is coming out in a matter of days. Of course sales are down. Go look at Apple iPod sales before the iPhone launch. Go read articles on notebook sales last Christmas and how OEMs demanded Microsoft include Vista upgrade coupons so they could actually sell the product.

Its simple people will delay consumption when they know a new better more exciting product is on the way.

Apr 12th 2007 4:14PM What's really exciting is I heard about this new wave technology like 5-7 years ago from the Economist. So much for fast movement in the world of developing technology.

Mar 14th 2007 2:45PM This is your classic willingness to pay argument. Say MSFT charges $500 for software. The pirates who are not willing to pay even $20 for a legit copy are a negligible loss.

Now due to a $500 price tag (the stick) licensing (the stick, and real money maker) gets snatched up by corporations. Microsoft knows the costs of doing business, specifically training are extremely high.

So now ask yourself a question is it worth it to make MSFT software secure so a pirate can’t get it? Is it worth while to come up with a price point that will get every hacker to buy the product? The answer to both questions is no.

The money is in not aggressively pursuing them. The money is in corporations and people willing to pay full price. The money is also in going to the DOJ and when they ask why you charge $500, state we lost $15 billion to hackers last year look at how terrible it is. When the actual loss is much lower since the hackers would never buy this software in the first place.

PS3 'PlayStation Home' launches fall '07, confirms NY Times {Joystiq}

Mar 7th 2007 12:39PM You know for a long time I was a big proponant of Wii60 the movement to buy a Wii and a Xbox360 together the price of the PS3. Its kind of sad though since Sony obviously can't find any value that they just decided why not turn our product into a Wii and a Xbox360 together.
