Aug 26th 2007 7:59AM Glad to see this, really. Because while I agree, I am also the first to complain about a class nerf or rep grinding, I still love logging into game and doing...whatever. My wife and I love to play together, our friends are guildmates are awesome, and I really don't care what I'm doing in game because they make it what it is. After 2.5 years I have countless characters spanning 4 servers of all classes and levels, both Alliance and Horde.
I guess I just tire of the b*tching and complaining I seem to see all the time. Even from me. It's a good game, and I enjoy it. If I am pulling an all night rep grind and the monotony is getting to me, I just log on TS and have a laugh with my guildmates. Makes the time fly.
Seriously, if people are not enjoying it, and find themselves complaining more often than not, perhaps unplugging and finding something that they enjoy might be the best thing for them.
Aug 10th 2007 5:41PM IMDB.com does have a full cast list, but only the actors names are listed.
Still, it'd give you some names to start checking out..
Aug 10th 2007 9:00AM Agreed!
Thanks to all the tanks out there, be you Warrior, Pally, Druid, beast spec Hunter or Demon spec 'Lock. I've had all of you tank for me (my Priest) at one time or another, under one circumstance or other. And thanks to those who did it well.
Example - 4 clothies plus my Rogue in Ramparts - we couldn't find a plate wearer or Druid. The Lock's Voidy tanked admirably up to the final boss. 2/3 of the way through the fight, Voidy went down, since they don't know how to evade the fire. Naturally the dragon turned to me.
I popped evasion/ghostly strike, hit a fire damage pot, and evasion tanked the dragon long enough for voidy to be recast. Went down like no one's business.
Lots of whooping and hollering that night.

And I'll bet all MY virtual gold that you are a Horde/non-dwarf priest. Surprise, sur-freakin-prise.
Me personally, I rolled a Dwarf priest back in Feb, '05 for no other reason that no one else ni guild was a dwarf. I knew nothing about racials. I was lucky, everyone in guild envied my Priest and he was invited along just about everywhere.
Fear ward is cool. You can't even play around that it's not - and only dwarves had it. That made Dwarven priests... cool. And yknow what? There's nothing wrong with that.
I think what people are upset about is that all the other folks are screaming that the Dwarf is special, and THEY don't feel special.
Blizzard, instead of revamping and making other "cool" priest racials to hand out, thus making everyone special, is taking the lazy way out. They're taking one of the few things that made the dwarf priest stand out and giving it to everyone else. They're making everything technically FAIR, but nobody SPECIAL.
Not smart. Not when, with some effort, they can do both.
And how is the priest racial issue different from Warstomp? Or WotF? It all boils down to one group having something no one else has, and has that benefit for no other reason that the race they chose. It's no different.
But this... is fear ward. The holy grail of Priest racials, has been forever, and every other non dwarf priest has been envious of it for a long, long time.
The Blood Elf racial is great! Blood Elves aren't envious of ANYbody, Preist or no, but nobody's complaining about it. And if you say that Fear Ward is the end-all, be-all of PvP racials, well, let me tell you that when I get my Belf Rogue up there in levels, he is going to eat mages for lunch in the Battlegrounds with that racial. 2 second silence. That's all I'll need.
If Blizzard put that kind of energy and commitment into all the Priest races and came up with some truly outstanding ones, this would become a non issue so fast your head would spin.
How about a spell reflect shield? 1 charge, Insta-cast, 2 minute cooldown? (or maybe 3 charge, 5 min?) How about a 5 minute, party-wide +100 buff to all resists? These are just ideas off the top of my head now, they could obviously use some finesse, but you get the idea. C'mon, there's any number of cool stuff they could come up with that would take the luster off of fear ward.
But then again,. these are the people who came up with "Lightwell".
In conclusion, stop bitching about it, and realize that the easiest solution is not necessarily the best one.
Jul 5th 2007 12:28PM Yep, the first week I played, in January 2005, my friends and I came across this guy and within 5 minutes we started calling him "Mr. A-hole". To this day we refer to him as such.
I never shed a tear about this guy taking the big dirt nap.
Jun 4th 2007 12:19PM Ban them.
Seriously, no disrespect to the prior poster, but I don't see the slippery slope. Proper application of common sense will tell anyone when someone is just being an idiot, or abusive, or a plain ole' dick. There may be a gray area when trying to define these things absctractly, sure. But really, we all know it when we see it.
Blizz has stood by and watched what happens when they don't ban people from the boards for a few years now and look at how things are. Anything's gotta better than the way it is now.
May 15th 2007 3:14PM Once, quite some times ago, I had to drop my Rogue out of an UBRS run because my toilet exploded.
The Shadowcraft chest dropped, of course.
