May 9th 2008 5:03PM blizzard said in an interview with curse ( i think so ) that they're considering waiting until the 25 man version of the instances i beaten for the 10 man version of the instance to be opened. This way you have something to still offer that "exclusive" feeling for the 25 man raids. They haven't said that's what they're doing, but they are considering your point of view.
Either way, i think it's interesting and it'll be really nice for those of us that enjoy raiding or have in the past, but don't have the time for it anymore. Making it into a more casual 10 man raid will make things alot easier. I don't even mind if i don't get amazing gear, to me it's the progression that matters.
Apr 26th 2008 9:14PM someone in my guild said during an onyxia raid years ago:
"BRB, grandma on fire"
then left the raid and gquit. Pretty funny imo
Apr 24th 2008 8:58AM gl finding any groups with a third faction.
Apr 12th 2008 9:31PM I personally would be very much for some kind of variation on this server transfer. I have a 70 warrior and a 70 shaman that i leveled and progressed on a PvP server, but transfered to a PvE server for a very very short period of time due to complications in guilds and other things. They're now stuck there and can't be moved back.
I wish that i could move them back, but it looks like luck with PvE to PvP transfers will not change.
I would like to say that i completely agree with the idea of no PvE to PvP transfers as it would definitely be easier to lvl on a PvE server than a PvP server. I just don't see myself as really fitting into that category.
Apr 23rd 2007 11:59AM It is important to note that while DPS, it is probably harder to find a group. When i tell people on my warrior that i would like to DPS, i often get snubbed and given the ultimatum to tank or gtfo.
When i was elemental on my shaman(60-70 grind and a little time post 70 ding), i had an extremely hard time finding groups, and when i did find them, i was 9/10 asked/forced to heal. Granted this was 2 weeks after BC started so, there may not have been as many healers around to give proper group makeup as there is now.
Apr 23rd 2007 11:54AM I have a 70 fury warrior and a 70 resto shaman and i appreciate healing/tanking/DPS all the same. The only thing i feel that i'm good enough at in raids is healing on my shaman, however i find DPSing an tanking to be rather easy to do aswell. DPSing is prolly the most rewarding because you see "big numbers" fly up on the screen often. I'd prolly rather get a 2.5k bloodthrist crit than a 6-7k healing wave crit (although both are nice to see).
Another thing is, i feel that DPS are better "rounded out" when in comparison to healers and tanks. It's harder for healers and tanks to solo PvP or to farm efficiently, whereas for a DPS class, it's alot easier to do both of these.
Feb 24th 2007 5:33PM I'm extremely happy to see the shaman buffs this patch. I'm sad to see that they came 2 days after i specced out of elemental, but i'll go back next patch now that i won't have any sustainability issues :P.
Feb 24th 2007 5:25PM The night before the 5th or 6th harry potter book got released, someone took a few corpses and wrote out "snape is the halfblood prince and kill dumbledore" right at the entrance of orgrimmar.
It was pretty funny.
Jan 18th 2007 1:37AM I was thinking about going out to the midnight release(i'm from raleigh aswell), but i had some hw to do (i also go to NCSU) and i was reluctant because i haven't played in a few months. I'm looking forward to this weekend where i'm going to be in search of a copy...assuming that there's somewhere in raleigh that still has them in stock :O.
It's interesting to see that there are that many WoW players here in raleigh. I knew there were a bit at NCSU, but i didn't think there were that many in raleigh :P.
