Woman Busted for Sending Fake Text Threats to Herself {Switched}

Jul 16th 2010 3:38PM Whenever my ex started that sort of stuff, I'd tell him nicely, "I'm not your wife anymore and I don't have to take. Call me when you've calmed down and find a civil tongue." and then hang up on him. I had to repeat this a few times before he finally got the hint. ;-)

As long as you keep a level head, he can't use your "hanging up" against you (i.e. - go to court and say that you won't work with him on raising the kids). Start recording the calls, just to CYA (cover your a$$) or at least start a log, denoting when he calls, what it was about and the language he uses.

Lichborne: Unholy DPS 101, Part 3 {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2010 12:00PM This is a "101" article? HA HA HA

I'm leveling my first DK and thought this article would be an excellent source of information for upping my DPS. I've played WoW for over a year and a half and thought I understood a lot of the uber-player "game mechanics" discussion out there but this stuff went right over my head. If you're going to write a 101-basics sort of article, you really need to start at ground zero.....not the 80th floor. Your 101 audience won't understand most of this stuff.

LEGOLAND is coming to Florida! {Gadling}

Jan 26th 2010 2:27PM I used to do field work for the local power company in Florida. Winter Haven was considered "Backwaters Florida".....surprised the park is going in there! Though I bet that small town is LOVING the thought of all that extra money....

Philly TSA agent plays cruel drug baggie joke on traveler {Gadling}

Jan 21st 2010 9:18PM Personally, if I had been that woman, they would have had to peel my hands off the throat of that soon-to-be-LATE-TSA officer. Oh, and let's not forget patch over the hole in the ceiling after I blow a gasket at his supervisor and anyone who dares to approach me. ;-) This sort of behavior is unexcusable.

Drama Mamas: Reading is hard {WoW}

Oct 31st 2009 6:20AM Our small social guild was dragged through the mud when 2 of our officers decided they wanted to "move on to greener pastures" and /gquit all of their characters (3 toons each) early one morning without saying anything to anyone. When I discovered it, I wsped them, asking, "Did I do something wrong?" "No." "Were you having issues with anyone?" "No." "OK, so why did you leave the guild?" After some toothpulling, they finally came clean - they wanted to do heroics and raids. Well, that's fine but I know I and the AGM would have appreciated some sort of message, especially from 2 officers we considered friends. I expressed my disapointment in their actions and how they treated us, wished them luck and left it alone. They still won't speak to me or anyone else in the old guild. Oh well...

WoW Rookie: Talking with the enemy {WoW}

Jun 27th 2009 9:27AM After spending over 9 months on a PvP server, I transfered my main to a normal realm to get away from the lvl 80 horde who ganked anything under lvl 70 just for the fun of it.

Since then, every time I run into Horde, I stop and /kiss or /hug them. I think of it as repittance - a way to make peace with my character's past. Most horde, especially low lvl, run for the hills when I do that, especially if I sneak up to them while they're in battle with some creature and surprise them at the end with a smooch. LOL It's quite fun to watch.... Yes, I can be evil sometimes. LOL

I've also used emotes to antagonize horde. One guy was taking out out the camp in STV when I rode up. Considering there was only a couple lvls between us (me - lvl 75, him - lvl 73), I didn't feel like dealing with him, so I started to spam him with /kiss and /hug. That got his attention and he mounted up and headed for the border. I chased him until he entered Darkshore. We stood there for a few minutes exchanging emotes (/chicken, /flex and /pick are great to egg them on) before I returned to camp. Of course, he followed, staying right on my butt the whole way. We arrived in camp as a lvl 80 alliance landed and between the 2 of us, we mopped the floor with the horde. LOL
