RIM give away BlackBerry server software to bolster small- and medium-sized businesses {Download Squad}

Feb 17th 2010 4:20PM I've not looked at the new version of BES lately but if they still are expanding the AD schema and generally making it a pain (AD protected group issues; phone sync issues, not to mention if you have corporate spam filtering grabbing the sync email, bleh) then I still recommend people use phones that hook up to Exchange natively. Much easier to mess with. Which sort of sucks because you do gain some benefits with the BES but after supporting it for years I don't miss it.

The Light and How to Swing It: Bracing for change {WoW}

Sep 9th 2008 5:48PM I agree, especially since they are reworking all of plate gear that was targeted towards pallys. I'll be losing 50-60 int off my gear when the patch hits and that hurts considering my mana pool was already tiny.

Even now I debate with myself whether to judge or pop another holy shield near the end of a fight with trash mobs just so I won't have to sit and drink afterwards. What a pain.

No incoming fix for long arena queues {WoW}

Dec 6th 2007 10:40AM My 2v2 team just converted into a 3v3 team because of the queue times. Blackhand's queue times for 2v2 are sitting around 8 minutes while 3v3 is only 1 to 2. I just assumed that the queue times were longer because less people were playing but I guess that was incorrect...

The Art of War(craft): Warsong Gulch, the Broken Battleground {WoW}

Dec 3rd 2007 1:49PM Truthfully, like almost all CTF games before it, the map needs a time limit. The most caps win. You could even keep the 3 cap limit. Just make the games end sooner... /cry That and having a little losing honor would help a little. Going in there and not capping a single flag nets you next to nothing.

WoW Insider interview with Brad Watson, top WoW TCG player {WoW}

Nov 29th 2007 5:13PM Geez, reminds me of all the MTG websites I used to scour back in the day. All this talk of metagames almost makes me want to dust off my Magic cards. I wonder how many serious MTG players crossed over to WoW's TCG...

The History of the World (of Warcraft), part I {WoW}

Oct 22nd 2007 11:30AM I remember messing with a pally back in beta also. They more direct damage holy nukes as I recall. I didn't get him very far, I think there was a server wipe and then I went to play a tauren druid. It was nice going to the trainers and just buying the shapeshifting abilities without having to do a quest. :)

More AFK concerns in Alterac Valley {WoW}

Sep 10th 2007 3:40PM Truthfully, I just wish the afkers would realize that if there are only 10 people nonafk against 30+ people, they aren't going to get squat. After earning a whopping 48 honor for one AV game I took my pally alt into EotS to at least have a chance to earn more points.

One of my guildmates also mentioned this weekend they had an AV game where there were only 5 nonafk people. Bleh.

Forum Post of the Day: You're old school when... {WoW}

Sep 4th 2007 1:39PM I think my favorite beta memory was before Will of the Forsaken was an activated ability. I had two friends that played in the beta also who were undead and I was the only nonundead in the group, playing a Tauren druid at the time (getting the forms without quests = awesome.) Any time the mobs would crowd control I was their only target. While it made me sad, it was quite funny.

Man, I remember when they added deathcoil and how I never used it because of the 5 minute cool down and it's general crappiness.

WoW Moviewatch: Solo runs of Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Mana Tombs {WoW}

Sep 4th 2007 1:32PM Actually, you can solo Cragskaar on a lock if you go and enslave one of the elite demons at one of the Forge bases nearby. Unless they've nerfed that. Did it a while back.
