I raid for the sake of raiding. I raid because I want to see the entire game. I want to accomplish things with people I consider friends. I need better gear to keep going in the endeavor. That's the only reason I want gear, so I can get through the next encounter that much easier.
Actually raiding guilds do tell you how to spend your gold. It's called repairs, consumables, and enchants. We take the gold you get from the instance and more actually. Thing is, you should already know that is what is required going in.
Jan 22nd 2007 3:12PM Everyone has a role to play in raids, and they're generally in the guild to fufill that role. If you aren't going to do your job the best you can (which sometimes means taking one for the team and getting the healing gear) then your spot in the raid is going to go to someone that will. I'm a druid CL, and I love my balance and feral gear just as much as everyone, but I'm not our guild's feral druid, so I'll be taking the healing set when the time comes.
