Drama Mamas: Dungeon Finder advice {WoW}

Jan 3rd 2010 11:41AM I think the guy's whole point was that he and his friends didn't care if they carried a 'baddie' through VH or whatever, but in the newer instances, while they personally didn't have any issues carrying him through, other pugs might not fare so well, and thus he felt it would be a good idea to try and help the DK out with some pointers so the DK didn't ruin someone else's less 'pro' pug later on. Plus he was only trying to help and it doesn't sound like he was rude about it and the DK was definitely not as graceful about it as he could have been. There are issues here that your advice did not address at all. On the other hand, giving out advice to strangers in a pseudo-anonymous game is always iffy at best, and I imagine if the DK gets kicked out of enough pugs he will learn on his own that he needs to do better or stop queuing.

Caption This! {WoW}

Oct 10th 2008 12:24PM Gnomish Picnic Basket:
Binds when used
Use: Forces nearest two living beings to sit near the caster, giggling and holding hands, occasionally sharing a cookie. Has a chance to fail against beings above level 60.

Breakfast Topic: Player race desires {WoW}

Sep 7th 2008 12:44PM I'd like to see naga as a playable race. I don't see why, if the blood elves can both be a playable race and an evil force working for even more evil people, they shouldn't able to do basically the same with the naga.

I'd also love to see high elves as a playable race. It's not that far-fetched, and Blizzard could always change their appearance and base it on whatever solution they come up with for making themselves less sickly. They could also blame the high elf population boom on whatever solution they come up with.

WoW Insider's Winter's Veil in July contest {WoW}

Hybrid Theory: Is it too much? {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 9:07AM I'm feral, and I usually don't get into the melee group at all because generally it's an enh shammy, a dps warr and three non-dagger rogues. We have all agreed that my aura isn't as good as having an enh shammy for those rogues, and the warrior is a good buff for the rogues plus getting benefit from WF. so I get put into the hunter group with any dagger rogues and another shammy to throw the agi totem. This way many people still benefit from my aura, I don't take up a spot in the wf group, and the dagger rogues are happy because (they tell me) the agi totem is almost as good as wf for them.

Ready Check: On wipes and wiping {WoW}

May 24th 2008 8:00PM We wiped right after Gorefiend died one night. Yeah, after. We had a good 20 people alive, Gorefiend took his little nap on the floor, and all of a sudden... constructs popped while we were all congratulating each other on our first Gorefiend one-shot (previous raids we spent a few tries on him.) The person who had the debuff was afk and the constructs proceeded to trash us and then stand on top of us for a good long while before they despawned. Good times.

Breakfast Topic: Do you give to beggars? {WoW}

Apr 26th 2008 9:43AM I usually just flat out tell them no. I don't do the open trade with gold and go afk thing because if they still have the window open when i get back I'm way too likely to forget what I was doing and actually hit trade. On the other hand, I don't lack generosity. If I have extra items because one of my alts was levelling a profession I will stand in a major city and advertise that I'm giving items away. I just don't like to be asked for gold when it is fairly easy to come by at most stages of the game, and I never begged for my mount or my training or anything, even back in the day when there were no dailies to support my alt addiction.

Cautiously cracking crowd control {WoW}

Oct 28th 2007 12:27PM @ 11 - true, invisibility isn't instant, but each tick of the fade before the actual invis also reduces your threat.

Two Bosses Enter: Teron Gorefiend vs. Gruul the Dragonkiller {WoW}

Oct 28th 2007 12:18PM Even if Gruul was immune to the shadow of death ghost thing, Teron could still spawn the shadowy constructs. These would melee Gruul, thereby possibly taking hurtful strikes. Teron wouldn't spawn the blossoms immediately around him so he might not increase the shatter damage he takes from them being around him. Even when he gets knocked back and can't melee Gruul he can make sure the incinerate is up. I think Teron would win in this fight.
