May 14th 2009 8:41AM One of the things I value most in my life is the ability to get up at a moment's notice and do something elseā€”go to dinner with a friend who happened to call, head out to a show I found out about that afternoon, or even go to bed early if I'm exhausted. This is exactly why I don't raid. I would like to see more of the endgame content, but I know that if I want to keep living my life the way I want to, I'd wind up letting down 24 of my closest digital friends to hang out with my real life ones.

May 4th 2009 11:11AM From a legal perspective, this banning makes me nervous. As players we all know how many hours/days/weeks/months we've put into our characters, and how important our in-game relationships are to our lives. We may only pay $15 a month, but our accounts are worth far more than that, both in dollars and in love. Blizzard can take all that away for a violation of something as vague as 'the "essence" of the game'. Who decides what that essence is? ToS agreements are getting more and more powerful, and we're contracting out of the control of the worlds that we helped create. Interesting times ahead...

A link might LOOK like it's going to an official Blizzard page, but if you're on one of the ISPs that are messing with DNS to insert ads (Earthlink, Verizon, Time Warner, Comcast and Qwest for sure), it could still be a scam. Extra caution for the next while, folks...
