Characters for iPhone updated to 2.0 {WoW}

Aug 19th 2008 12:47PM This 2nd version is wonderful (though it does very occasionally crash back to the menu), but I'd also love an app like the mac app Respec, or something like maxdps.com. Then there's the complete pipe dream of Blizzard making an in-game chat client/AH interface for the iPhone...

Totem Talk: The Wrath of the Shaman part 3 - Restoration and Synergy {WoW}

Jul 25th 2008 2:53AM Also, remember that if as an Elemental Shaman you are going with the Flame Shock/LB/LB/.../Lava Burst rotation, the Lava Burst will be a guaranteed crit - so you know you will be getting crits to keep mana usage down.

Top 7 reasons I am looking forward to 2.4 {WoW}

Mar 20th 2008 2:21PM Does anyone know what color this bag is, and whether or not it is larger than your average box or sack?

Shifting Perspectives: Bear Tanking Strategies Part 1 {WoW}

Feb 20th 2008 10:30AM Earth Shield is the same way as Prayer of Mending - it becomes a self heal done by the tank. You also get this weird effect in any dps/heal meters - the tank ends up topping the healing charts.

A spec for leveling and a spec for endgame {WoW}

Feb 14th 2008 11:06AM How about this for an idea - a spec bank? It could work just like your regular bank. You would by default get one "specbank" slot. Then you could pay an amount of money to "bank" a new spec (or replace an existing one). They could have little kiosks just like the guild bank additions in the regular banks. You might not even need a cooldown for this - if you could just swap out by going to a capital city, it would put a limit on exploitable swapping of specs.

Maybe it could even connect to this rumored rethinking of bags for gear, for the various specs. You swap your gear, it swaps your spec too.

Size does matter {WoW}

Jan 28th 2008 2:29PM So I'm on my first char, a level 20 rogue, just arriving in Darkshire, having come south from Redridge. I'm already freaked out by the total change in appearance of the landscape of Duskwood. AS I walk into town, Stitches had just made it there as well, and is slowly taking out Town Guards. I start backstabbing away, but I can't even hit half the time, and I'm freaking out. Other players are hitting him, drawing aggro, and getting annihilated. That was probably my defining "wow" WoW moment.

So I end up somehow landing the killing blow, with maybe only Ebonlocke and Backus left in the town, and through whatever loot weirdness am the only one who can loot him. I'm thinking I'm going to walk away with super impressive loot - and while Stitches Femur was a conversation starter for a low 20s rogue to be carrying around Stormwind, I have to admit I was hoping for more...

Around Azeroth: Waiting... {WoW}

Jan 15th 2008 11:05AM Agreed, I think because that starts the whole server lag compensation leeway thing, and you can sometime actually seem to be through the gates before they actually are opened.

That is one of the more annoying of the BG waits. Not sure why - EotS is really annoying since it traps the camera too and you can't move out from under the bubble, and WSG doesn't even let you mount first, but the AB wait seems to take the longest time. Maybe, because, as you say, all those nodes are just waiting for you, tempting you.
