Aug 31st 2010 4:38PM My hubs told me a story once about back in classic WoW, a group of friends were tired of one of them afking all the time and auto following them. So he used his lock water breathing on his toon and they swam his afk arse pretty far out and under the ocean. Needless to say, mr afk wasn't too happy when he eventually got back to his dead corpse under the sea.

Apr 28th 2010 4:58PM hah, I just started the Seal of Ascension quest on my 4th main the other day. Had to get the pets out of there too, just in case everything under that mountain gets shook up too much in Cataclysm!
Feb 5th 2010 1:30PM My hubbie and I have toons with both factions.. one of us will occasionally slip away and log on an opposing toon and spend some time locating and hunting the other down.. bwa ha ha... My best so far, stealthing in through the front door of Org on my NE rogue dodging a million hordies in front of the bank waiting for him to come out of an AV, flagged of course and *BAM* ...roflmao... still makes me laugh!
My point being, be careful what you wish for! =)
We've had a drama situation like today's story, I see it as your friends will come and go, (just like RL), you have to learn to move on, and they have to learn you're not going to bend over backwards when they decide they want You to play by their rules only. It's taken us two years to figure this out. I love my friends but they're no longer dictating my fun. =)
Feb 3rd 2010 1:33PM I've been playing WoW for 3-4 years now, before that it was Diablo 1 & 2, and I've looked at a few other MMO's (free and pay), and guess what, grinding is what it's all about. Even way way back to Eye of the Beholder, Balders Gate kind of RPG's, heck, Dragon Warrior on the NES, it's always a slow and sometimes painful repetitive grind to get your character better armor, skills, etc. in order to reach uberness.
It's not really a new concept and not one I'm going to complain about. I assumed all this before I even bought it. =)
As long as they keep the new content rolling in like Blizz then I'll be a happy camper. I play these MMO's with my husband and friends, the antics and trials we go through is what "makes" the game for all of us.
If you're not enjoying it, try being more social??
Feb 3rd 2010 11:47AM How are you enjoying anything is you speed through it? My first WoW toon took me a good 7 months to level to 60 just as Blizz released BC... dangit! Granted I played rather casually at first.
So far with STO.... I think I'm still in the starting area, so to speak. One shouldn't watch 2 hrs of LOST and try to play a new MMO. I've already been frustrated with mobs re-spawning pretty quickly while I'm trying to read incoming transmissions and figuring out what icon to press. lol. I have no clue what everyone's complaining about with Cryptic.. guess I missed the news monkey there. =/
But I'm having fun being confused and totally noobing it up.. it's been a while. "Sorries I bumped into yer ships lol"
Jan 20th 2010 1:09PM Even my Ali toons love a good Gnome Punting. Hope to see more and I'm sure they'll improve the more Bloodvein creates.
Jan 14th 2010 8:58AM @Mr. Tastix & @Hoggersbud - There are quite a few people that like to explore. That's why there are so many cool screenshots out there, the designers out did themselves in some places. Recently I've been visiting some secret and hard to get to places and SS'ing them in case they're gone in Cataclysm.
Makes no sense to down rate a guy for liking to explore the game to it's fullest.

You're kidding right? lol. Rogues have nothing to do with the apparent lack of Tanks marking trash pulls, whether from lack of knowledge or going with the flow of, "lets run this in 5 minutes and leave", trend in Wrath.
I've actually run into people who didn't know what LoS pull meant and thought Skull, X, Square were just there to highlight the mobs. Focus fire wut you mean dude?
And the last I checked, an end game geared Mut rogue now has less buttons to mash then a Combat rogue that knows what to mash to keep up with the Mut's on the meters. Read the updated FAQs on EJ.
Oct 15th 2009 1:49PM @gryzemuis - I feel that pain, I think I've had the worse luck of all in Wrath. If it weren't for the expanded badge loot I'd probably still be running in 5man blues/epics & craftables.
I went from my fav fist/sword to having to choose one or the other, and all I've ever won are a couple of OH items. The few times a MH weapon has dropped either our Hunters rolled on it, "Because like, I want the achievement dude", (including all 3 webbed deaths I've seen in 6+ months), or our second rogue won it. I'm down to maces, a BOE drop from Ulduar and that cute mug from Direbrew. The few pieces of leather I've seen drop are usually scooped up by the kitties. Heck, I can't even make use of the spreadsheets anymore, since my level of gear has dropped off the lists.
Despite this horrifying handicap I still manage to be in the top 1-3 dps slots in our 10mans, and in the top 10 in 25mans. It's damn depressing though, to have been raiding for so long, doing Ulduar & ToC with the crap I'm stuck with, and complete lack of rogue-ish drops in these raids. =/
