Ret to be nerfed "to the ground" {WoW}

Oct 16th 2008 10:55PM If you guys really want to know why your getting all this attention you need to understand this is situation. Everyone got new stuff, new abilities, cool new tricks, and they say, "Hey, lets try this stuff out in pvp" then before they even get to try out their new moves, BOOOOOOMM HEAADDDDSSHOOOT from 2-3 ret plds going around TEARING PEOPLES LIMBS OFF!!?!

..

See my point? See why we're pissed? Your buffs may have been warranted.. but our reason to be very pissed is too. This patch has RUINED pvp for everyone that isn't a ret pld. So.. yeah.. have fun with those 3-5+ man groups of ret plds with a contingent of people following you around trying to suck off the glory of your damage. Please. Shove it in our faces more that right now, your better than us, We'll shove back just as hard. The only way we can. NERF THEM!

Holy Paladin! A 3,000 team/personal rating {WoW}

Apr 29th 2008 5:33PM WOW Insider should NOT be so quick to congratulate these guys. A quick analysis of their team (makeup, enchants, etc.) and you guys would quickly realize these guys aren't a real top level arena team.

It is one of the many reasons Blizz is releasing the changes you guys reported in 2.4.2 for Arena. They need to stop teams like this from achieving high ratings. Hopefully, these guys will NOT be able to attain the coveted Arena Dragon Mount. It will be a disgraceful mark on Arena competition. Worse off, all of us that try hard and not cheat at arena and can not achieve ridiculous ratings will have to face facts the the 'champions' of Arena are no good cheaters.

So please WOW Insider, Do not reward these guys until they have been proven to be the real deal. We all know of the current controversial of win-trading. Dig some dirt before you sparkle these guys in gold.

Why is Kael a bad guy again? {WoW}

Mar 9th 2008 5:22PM Hey again guys,

You guys bring up some really good points about the back story of these important characters. I agree your not going to know what is going on if you skip past quest descriptions and don't read the novels. Ironically, that's exactly my point. The lore isn't constructed well enough to be able to understand without being able to write a freaking thesis in Azerothian History.

Why should it be that convoluted? Look at LOTR, All the characters have a clear desire to do right AND conflicting emotions about what they are doing. I know it goes down to Good vs. Evil in that story but when these characters are going from two polar opposites within the span of a year or two (Arthas- WC3 to TFT, Illidan - TFT to WoW, Kael - TFT to WoW) it just feels odd. Mainly because esentially all of the big ol' bad guys never did 1 thing. They never really questioned the path they were on. Any sensible person would question if they should pick up the big ass demon sword in order to save the alliance. Any sensible person would question if they should change their ways and fight their addiction after (hmm) 1000+ years of prison. Any sensible person would see that the big freaking FISH LADY is evil and really just wants to use your people JUST like the Alliance who used your people before. DURR!

Thats the problem. Even the most ridiculous villians question themselves (Gollum, Green Goblin, etc.) They become really 'bad' when they decide to make that decision to go ahead be that guy that we hate. Granted, Arthas basically turned into a "Supervillan."

Kael was really likeable as a sort of 'grey' hero. He certainly had the capacity to question his leaders orders when he worked for the Alliance. Why did he not question Illidan? We know what is going to happen in 2.4. I'd be nice if we could see him come full circle, but from what has happened to Illidan, it seems like that their story ends when they decide to become /sigh.. a bad guy. P.S. Sorry I haven't read 100% of the lore but neither have alot of people. Honestly, this stuff is really fascinating, but sadly kind of hard to follow. Much respect to you guys that owned me earlier :)
