Feb 16th 2011 11:46AM In what regard? You don't think my argument is valid, but which part?
Feb 15th 2011 9:36AM I really don't see how ToR can fail. There are loads of MMO fans, loads of Star Wars fans and they'll be playing a game made by a great company and published by a great publisher. Content will be good, storytelling, VO and graphics look incredible and I can't wait for people to get going.
You might say WoW got lucky with the whole LotR films and such, but they've made a great game regardless. Having said that, after you've finished Twilight Highlands and you've run out of quests (considering the new 1-60 stuff as trivial) there's not much for you to do at end game.
I would live to see Bioware constantly evolve the storyline and have areas change (large-scale phasing) quarterly. It seems nowadays that in WoW, people are either idling in SW/Org or re-rolling alts. They just want a nice social experience. Most of the players might not even be gamers.. but word of mouth subscribers who want to 'be' with their friends.
As for the WoW statement, it's a little brave... but it would be foolish not to acknowledge what WoW has done well and offer people a similar experience... even if what WoW offers only ends up being 40% (lol) of what you can do in TOR.
I know STO and LOTRO didn't do that well... but Tubine and Cryptic just aren't in the same league as Blizz and Bioware. Blizzard will absolutely consider ToR a very real threat to their subscriber base... and there will come a time for a lot of people where they just need a change. The investment of however many hundred days played on their main obviously means something... but the here and now... and the future... matter just as much as the past. Chapter closed, Paladin. Thanks for the memories... now.. where did I put that Lightsabre!
Sep 28th 2010 12:37PM I've always shyed away from Vampire and devilish shit just because it's never done well and pretty miserable when it is... however, this could be good... as long as people play it for the right reasons and we don't get fat cnuts typing
"(General Chat)Frankenstein: OMG, sink your teeth into my left nut while I fap on my screen, you sexy bitch, David!"
Also there better be shit to do when all the people are on bio-breaks and you want to kill something. I don't give a shit that Sarah had a bad day, tell the bitch to fúck off or let me bite her.
Sep 23rd 2010 4:59PM Look how many 3* posts there are in my thread... everyone is banding together in support of their fellow WoW-players. They really love me.
I made this togetherness happen!
You're all welcome.
Sep 23rd 2010 10:15AM I definitely think using the Arena format of
Map: Random (WSG, TP)
...would work well with CTF and Let's-Play-Tower-Defense, or whatever they are in AV.
So you queue for CTF and are put in either WSG or TP... and so on. Hopefully the change to resilience and Higher HP will mean a lot more people participate in PvP.
Sep 23rd 2010 10:10AM ................... what?
This is exactly the problem: graduates of Grom'mash's Lok'Tar Scho'ol of Illi'terates.
Did you mean my tears are delicious?
Sep 23rd 2010 9:41AM Traitors!
Sep 23rd 2010 8:36AM How did I get down-ranked so fast?! Where are all my Alliance friends?
Sep 22nd 2010 11:30AM Guardian of Ancient Shadowmournes... sounds fun.
However, seeing the abilities on YouTube etc, the model is lame, the sound he makes is pathetic, and it would be nice if they made a female one for the girls.
I hope that model isn't final, anyway. It just grunts and is made up of two colours.
