Gold Capped: GDKP raiding for fun and profit {WoW}

Jun 15th 2010 12:31AM I was in a GDKP ToC25 a few days ago. After the Twins and before Anub the guys organizing the raid began to find reasons to kick people from the group. One DK DCed and was instantly booted. Someone's dps was low and they threatened to boot them. Someone else messed up on adds or the ice patches and they were booted.

At first I just thought they were dicks, but afterwards I realized they were eliminating people on purpose at the end to get the pool of people sharing the money smaller. We did not get Anub down.

Mar 10th 2010 12:32PM FFVII and FFVIII had quite a bit of open world exploration, as did many of the earlier FF games.

The Daily Grind: Are you checking out DDO? {Massively}

Sep 10th 2009 12:10PM I played a free trial last year and hated it. But I downloaded the new client and I'm completely loving this game. I even signed up for a VIP account.

The change for me was the retooled opening area (Korthos Island) and that nearly every quest is now solo-able as the dungeon scales the threats based upon your character (something we've been asking for in WoW for years and years).

Apr 28th 2009 4:31PM I played TCoS this weekend for a few hours and walked away extremely unimpressed. The combat is fun, if a bit laggy for me, but everything else in the game felt like the stale old thing.

I long for an MMO where the first quests aren't "Kill five bears/wolves/rats/etc"
