BigRedKitty: Patch 2.4 AddOns {WoW}

Feb 25th 2008 2:30PM Daniel,
You have your chromosomes mixed up; XY is male, XX is female.

Otherwise, very funny =D

Patch 2.4 laced with Elixir of Giant Growth {WoW}

Feb 16th 2008 8:09PM I'm a little disturbed that greatlich summons demons IRL.....

Tharfor, his mouth, his foot, and shamans {WoW}

Feb 13th 2008 6:19PM See the above definition of BLOG; Mike isn’t writing newspaper articles (which depending on the newspaper are seldom objective either), he is writing a BLOG. This isn’t USA Today folks.

Well Fed Buff: Dragonbreath Chili {WoW}

Feb 8th 2008 11:52AM You are correct, GreatLich, chili con carne is actually referring to “peppers with meat”; what I was trying to say (not very well, heh) was most people say it thinking the “chili” part is the beans, when it’s actually the peppers and meat.

Drysc weighs in on questing {WoW}

Feb 8th 2008 11:20AM ToI will agree with a few of the folks above: I hate collect “x number of whatever body part” quests. My main beef with them is, say I need to collect hoofs from some four legged creature…but I only get a hoof every 5-6 kills…..they ALL have four hooves!?! “Kill X number of whatever” isn’t bad, because the grind just helps the level go faster. Even if your quest is to kill a named, you have to normally kill everything leading up to him, so it equates to the same thing in the end.

This:
“Of course its always annoying when you need to kill 50 of x and 5 of y, and the spawn point has 50 of y and 5 of x”
Is probably one of my biggest pet peeves in game. Blizzard always makes the thing you have to kill the most of, the thing that has the smallest/slowest spawn rate….Now you are just wasting my time as I wait for respawns.

Well Fed Buff: Dragonbreath Chili {WoW}

Feb 7th 2008 3:42PM Just a quick note: the original chili did not have beans in it. It was meat seasoned with chile peppers and sometimes onions. Chili con carne is actually backwards...if you go to a Texas chili house, you have to order Chili with beans!

Anyone know where I might be able to hunt down some of the Sriracha? It sounds good.

PS I like beans in my chili...I've eaten real chili and a bowl of meat with nothing else is a little strange to eat, lol.

Know Your Lore: Anduin Lothar {WoW}

Jan 17th 2008 4:10PM Good point; I never pay much attention to the statues in SW, and all of my lore comes from "Know your Lore" since I never played any of the WC games prior to Wow. I was just going off what is presented here.

Know Your Lore: Anduin Lothar {WoW}

Jan 17th 2008 2:50PM I think we know which version of how the duel ended is true, based off the facts presented here: If "Turalyon picked up Lothar's sword and took over the battle, yelling "For Lothar!", then apparently the sword was NOT shattered by Doomhammer, which means he was bashed from behind by some rogues. It didn't say he "picked up the shattered remnants of the sword" or "he picked up the hilt"....

Breakfast Topic: How is your PvP Battlegroup doing? {WoW}

Jan 10th 2008 12:07PM Ruin/Alliance: We've always lost a majority of the time in WSG/AB, but we used to win AV quite a bit. Since blizz "balanced" AV, we lose that most of the time now too.

Raid Rx: Pigeon-holing healers {WoW}

Jan 8th 2008 4:25PM Good column; I think a lot of people underestimate palys and shamanz for raid healing. A Holy paly with good healing gear spamming his flash heals on the tank is awesome. And a lot of top raiding guilds understand the importance of having one resto shaman in the raid; not only for chain heal, which can make a huge difference, but also for earthshield.
