Breakfast Topic: What WoW holidays need to be improved? {WoW}

Nov 8th 2011 11:38AM In patch 4.3 the companion pets will be BoE so that will help out there. I am not sure about the mount of gear. However, I do agree that they gear and the Mount should be BoE. My clothie mage got the Horseman's Horrific helm but could not use it.

Spiritual Guidance: The GearScore is a lie, Page 2 {WoW}

Apr 29th 2010 10:50AM I am not very fond of Gearscore for the simple fact that is does not represent the player and their experience. I do run the addon just to know what mine is and see others scores because it is widely used.

I am a huge fan of the addon Elitist Group and wish the whole community would embrace it. You are able to quickly see someone's gear, experience and enchants, etc.

Cataclysm badge and PvP point changes {WoW}

Apr 27th 2010 1:56PM The concern I have with the cap issue, is that some people do not want to be bound to buying a single item at a time. Currently I am saving frost emblems to get the next 2 pieces of my healing T10 4 piece set. If I were to buy a single piece and replace it, then I would lose the additional 2 piece bonus from my T9 set.

Sure, I could buy the item and hold on to it until I had the 2nd piece. However, I keep sets of older gear and holiday gear, fun stuff, mats, etc, so my bag space gets limited.

The other part...As in the title of my "handle", my older memory is not as good as it used to be, so as with honor points, I sometimes forget to spend them when they get to the cap, so I end up running and losing out. With a limit per week on how many you can acquire, if I forget to spend them, then I really lose out for a whole week.

I am not opposed to a limit really, but I think it should be much more than the cost of a single item. It should cover a full tier set IMHO. :)

Apr 27th 2010 10:27AM The only concerns I have are:

1. Will this make the queue time much longer, especially for the strictly DPS classes/specs? I suspect it will because the strictly raider people will no longer need to run heroics.

2. Is the total amount of points you can carry going to be capped like they currently are for honor points? I feel they should not as currently, that I am aware of and I may be mistaken, there is not a limit on the amount of emblems you can have.

Overall, I think it is a much simpler process and will simplify buying heirloom items as you will not have to step down up to 3 levels.

Around Azeroth: Holy cow {WoW}

Apr 9th 2010 1:14PM Wow! My apologies to and everyone else.

You are all right, my noob butt should have checked into this more. However, I do not have a horde character, so I wonder if there is something similar for the alliance side. This looks like it would be fun enough to make a horde character just to try out.

I will say though, that those wings, just do not look like something that would be attached.

@raventwyst, you have my sincere apology. Btw, love the response, it was definitely appropriate. :-)

@OldManDeath - Just leave well enough alone in the future. noob! ;-)

Ok, time to "LRN2Explore".

Around Azeroth: Holy cow {WoW}

Apr 9th 2010 10:46AM This just lessens my respect for, allowing photoshopped images to grace around Azeroth, and they will not even post some cool actual in-game images that have been submitted.

Maintenance day loot from {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 8:28AM Oh I want me a Tiny please. :)

Breakfast Topic: A random topic {WoW}

Feb 26th 2010 9:20AM I myself, sometimes get really frustrated with the RNG, but it's there for a reaason and I understand that. it makes it so great when your number finally comes up and you get that feeling of great accomplishment.

The one single thing that I truly do not like about the Achievement system is around the holiday achievements where there is a PvP requirement for the achievement to be completed AND it is part of a Meta Achievement. I am on a PvE server for a reason, and that is that I do not like PvP.

The one that I was unable to complete last year, and I am fearful I will not accomplish this year is during Childrens week where you have to complete some PvP tasks in a battleground. Had PvP not been a component that was required for the Childrens week achievement, which is part of the "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been", then I would have that achievement accomplished and my drake mount from it.

So currently, I am grinding heroics to get a full PvP gear set just s oI can have a better chance at successfully completing the items needed to complete Childrens week this year. However, I suck at PvP .:(

AddOn Spotlight: Elitist Group, Page 2 {WoW}

Feb 11th 2010 1:08PM I am relatively new to WoW, having only been playing for 1.5 years. However, in that time I have learned a lot and progressed a lot. My main is a Resto Druid, and I am very well geared. Working on ICC 25 and Frost gear, currently in full T9 set.

Recently I have been seeing a lot more people relying only on the Gearscore number, and that bothers me as it is not a true measure of the characters ability to do their job. I like what I have read so far with this Elitist Group addon and I am going to try it out to see how it is. I agree with the fact that it should be used to see how a person may perform, has performed and to give advice. helping others is something I do, as I received help along the way in my time playing WoW. I personally do not mind being in a group and carrying "newbies" to help them get gear and experience as long as the group as a whole can succeed.

The trend I do not like that I have seen is the dependence on Gearscore and turning away people just because they do not meet the minimum Gearscore someone wants. My son, whom recruited me to WoW after I had watched him randomly play for a couple years, gets turned down quite often because his gearscore does not meet their requirements. They do this to him even after running heroics with him where he puts out up to 2K DPS higher than the higher Gearscore players in the group. He has spent time learning rotations, gemming and enchanting his gear, respeccing multiple times to get the right balkance, and is a great player who fully understands his class.

It is what is happening to him that has me worried about this trend on the reliance of Gearscore. It is my hope that people will use tools like Elitist Group to see how a person might perform, offer advice and not just rely on a single score.

The OverAchiever: Straight to the poorhouse {WoW}

Jan 14th 2010 4:22PM I have been playing for almost 1.5 years now and on my main toon, a Resto Druid, I have everything in your list with the exception of the Cenarion War Hippogryph. I started working on that rep, but raiding has slowed me down.
