Officers' Quarters: A brand new column about guild leadership {WoW}

May 7th 2007 2:30PM I was a GL of a large guild as well (over 200 accounts as well) for over a year and we also saw all of those issues. Schisms, ninjas, alliances, mergers drama queens...etc... after about 10 months we had a large guild split left me with about 89 members... we recovered from that and got back up in size but it just wasnt the same anymore and I didnt have enough time to just play the game like I wanted to. My wife play actively as well and she helped me to run the guild while I was at work. Finally we just couldn't take it anymore, it was sucking all the fun out of WoW for both of us. We decided it was time to stop so I held a guild meeting to announce my decision and at the end of the meeting /gdisband... we tried in vain to find a good guild on that realm so we transferred, leaving all of our olf friends behind... one of our loyal members came to the new realm with us and we now run a very small guild and things are fine.

The problem with a large guild is the diversities of all people involved with different sets of priorities, morality and maturity levels. we had everything from dedicated husband/wife teams to foreign players having trouble speaking english to seedy characters trying to pick up on young girl players (that didnt last long as I /gkicked him and reported his behavior to blizzard) he was trying to get personal info from players SCARY!!!! the saad thing is that player still exists which means blizz did not take my report seriously. anyway I could go on and on and on forever but I wont take up any more space here.

for anyone familiar I was Rotarie on Kalecgos (PvP-Alliance) and I ran and I'm here to give a shout out to any of my old guildies!!!
