Feb 5th 2010 2:41PM I've been getting alot of emails lately... I've never bought gold, never sold characters, never fell for a phishing scam...there so obvious sometimes. But I received an email about a month ago.
Your account has been suspended for 3 hours due to pending charges. I forget to exact wording but it looked pretty legit. Tho, what in the world could I have done to get my account suspended. SO I looked the email over, it had noreplay @ blizz(dot)com (yes it was blizzard, but don't want to put a link up for someone to click) and seemed pretty legit, I pride myself in trying to find the problems in these. BUT it was emailed to my old wow email account not my new battlenet account email. So I went to call Blizz and busy, busy, busy. I kept being skeptical so I finally thought well I better log in to see what's up. The link took me to a legit looking WoW login screen and I tried to login (via iPhone). Didn't work. SO then I called my brother who was online at the time and he said, all my toons where in the guild and nothing seemed to be missing. It even was on spot that I last logged out (Last logged in 5 hours ago.) So I knew it was a scam. I got on my comp and instantly reset my password and moved on.
This past Monday I received 4...FOUR! emails from this same address two the same and two different...very minor discrepancies in them like missing commas in some but no real typos. All saying my account was suspended or pending investigation. I just delete them now, but I don't want to block them, isn't blizz's email noreply @ blizz as well? Or is that a cover up to make me think it's legit? Is this happening to anyone else!?
Jan 4th 2010 4:08PM I love running dungeons these days, for the most part people are pretty good on there roles. Healer heals, DPS kill, and I tank on my 35 Gnome Warrior.
Every now and then I get a fail group that, by the life of me, can't seem to get the picture. Yesterday I ran a dungeon with a druid/rogue duo. Apparently they were friends because they both felt the need to critique my tanking rotation and talent choices. Believe me I've done the research and I am picking the best talents I can based on some top tanks on my server. Also the druid felt the need to tell me to stop charging into mobs, that it wasn't necessary to do that because it doesn't accomplish anything... what I do is Battle Stance, Charge, as I'm charging hit my macro that switches me between Battle & Dstance so then I'm in Dstance before I even get to the mobs, giving me the advantage of having the mobs facing me away from the group and getting a quick Thunderclap off before some dps starts wacking before I have rage. Practically giving me a head start to avoid goofy dps. (Can't wait till I get the Warbringer Talent) Yes I know how to LoS pull, shoot the caster and duck around the corner. This was in SM: Library for goodness sake, you have to LoS pull in there! Charging and shooting both have there places, pros and even cons, don't want to pull two groups by being too anxious to just LoS pull. So anyways, the druid finally let up on that and the rogue decided he wanted to tank the hound boss. "Let [Rogue] tank him," says the Druid. I charge in, "Ok let's not then," says the Druid. I stated, "I'm here to level not watch people show off." The rogue begins to talk about how easy it is to tank for him. I say, "Yea it's so easy with your one move." (Evasion) He said, "HAHA, I dont need Evasion to tank here." I said, "Grats, you can tank a lowbie instance." He said, "Grats on being a douchebag." Well I was tanking two groups of mobs and a low health one was running away. I saw the douchebag comment and I was fed up. I then dropped group and smiled as I watched the load screen take me to IF.
I had been in several amazing groups, super easy and actually one dps stuck with me the whole time. I logged onto his server and asked, "How'd the rogue tanking go?" "Druid died, Rogue died, myself and Hunter lived, and I refused to rez them both." "Nerd-rage insued." He then immediately dropped group. I logged back onto my tank, Q'd up, and got a insta-instance. Man I love being a tank. :)
Aug 31st 2009 10:09AM I've leveled my Death Knight strictly from 74 just in AV, and it's taken me less than 2-3 days to get 79, I def plan on hitting 80 today. The push from 77-78 in about 4 hours played time. Course this is on the ally side of things, I would imagine things would be alot slower on the Horde side in our battlegroup. Since we usually recap SH bunker and IW Bunker when we can.
And before I hear 74 in AV!! what! I usually was in the top few in damage dealt on the ally side, it might be a sad commentary on the 80s in those bgs, or a great commentary on how well I consider myself a part of the team. I usually guard IBT and TP, and am successful almost every time, even with Horde trying to recap.
Finally, I just want to point how proud I was to be a low level in AV, 9/10 times there were no 80s guarding IBT or TP, and if it wasn't for the random 7# - Ally would have never won any of those games. Props to the low level players who know how to play the real game, not just "pewpew galv..RUSH DREK!!!1one"
