Jan 3rd 2009 3:43PM Another completely useless guide that said absolutely nothing about how to do something. Just what you will end up doing anyway without ever reading that guide.
Thanks for wasting my time, nicely written, but information density is absolutely zero. (I mean, skillists are easy to find on WoWhead, zone progression is naturally determined by the game..) .. there are no skill descriptions, no suggestions on what talents / builds may or may not be better for leveling.
it's just a nice writeup of things you will find out yourself soon enough.
Sorry, but WoWinsider once delivered information, thank god there are "serious" news pages out there.
Jan 16th 2008 11:54PM I don't think Blizz will break up with The9 just because of a 15% ownership from EA.
Running Servers, providing support and having trained staff in a foreign country is something very very complicated and blizzard would be very stupid to break up on something that works.
One of their only ways out would be to just buy the WoW division from The9. (Who owns the WoW servers? blizzard or The9?)
Dec 11th 2007 8:21PM Oh, and by the way.
Dan, next time you take pictures please use a Camera, not your Cellphone.
Dec 11th 2007 8:20PM I'm just terrified that there are really people who buy this!
I don't know about hardware prices in the US, but here in europe I can go out and buy a laptop for about 1500$ (1000€) that will play WoW perfectly.
Dell has some point in making this quite beautiful gaming laptop, but it still doesn't justify the high price. My current laptop costed 1000€ a year ago and still plays WoW on max details. Damn it, that's WoW not Crysis! Playing WoW doesn't take better Computers than playing some Tetris Clones.
With Ram prices going below 20€ per Gigabyte WoW should never ever be a problem to any computer/laptop.
Dec 2nd 2007 6:26AM I have to admit that I really like the new Looks of Northrend.
I found Outland to be a bit too "flashy" and different for my taste of fantasy, so those Northrend screenshots really shine.
The Buildings really look like Viking Homes and I would really love to see all that Scenery.
Oct 30th 2007 5:47AM I have never come across an Alt I ever needed to spend money on.
All my Alts I leveled to 60 had about 700g on their own through leveling and at 70 they usually have 1.5k Gold with a self-bought Flying-Mount.
I just don't understand why all people spend that mutch money on their Alts.
I leveled anything from a Rogue, Warrior, Warlock, Priest and they all where pretty smooth to level without buying gear off the AH.
Facts: Stay away from enchants.
Stay away from the AH (that blue Item will get replaced in 4 levels, why bother?)
WoW is so damn easy to level, and hardly anything you can buy yourself will speed up your leveling.
Usually you are good if you stick to Quest rewards.
Oct 21st 2007 2:49AM I don't see what this should change?
I really think this change is good.
Tbh: When you do most Quests on your Way from 60-70 you should be almost keyed to all Heroics even by the current System (took me an average of 2-5 Runs to get Revered)
Oct 8th 2007 7:49AM C'thun ..
no encounter since then required so mutch of coordination, skillful execution and great atmosphere as CThun.
And although we wiped about a Month on him back in Vanilla WoW, it was a great time and killing him was a blast.
Going to Naxxramas after this was just somehow lacking..
Oct 5th 2007 9:36PM Playing a Prot warrior in pvE is HUGE!
It just sucks once you have farmed through all 5 mans and start raiding.
It's just a very serious time commitment.. and telling your Guild that you want a break for 2 weeks just isn't working. Because there is nobody (equally geared) to replace you in that time.
A mage can be swapped, 50 spelldamage or other stats won't matter, if your tank is undergeared the whole raid is back to buffing for 10 minutes.
Oct 2nd 2007 1:08PM Europe still has no Voice Chat :)
