Sep 29th 2007 9:48PM Are you fully insane? Talking about Elixir of Ironskin and PvP in one sentence?
Imo that Elixir is just fully useless. Most battles you will fight in end with either you dead or somebody else. In a good premade those battles will take longer and be more intense, but you will die.
And damn, that's only BGs where you go to farm honor, in Arenas that elixir doesn't work at all.
So why in the hell should you drink that Elixir in the first place? 30 Resilience won't change a damn thing, except for wasted money.
Sep 29th 2007 6:17PM To make one thing clear:
I mean leveling an alt
The leveling process from 1-70 is a PAIN!
After lvl 30 it gets a mind numbing, painful, unrewarding experience.
You know ALL quests, you know all spawns, you're getting a mindless Robot. You just waste time on doing something very very stupid.
Playing another class isn't that different that it compensates for doing that Quest multiple times, and as we all hate Rep-Grinds, I hate XP-grinds.
And yes, I consider leveling as mindless as grinding Rep for Cenarion Circle in Silithus.. it's just awful..
once you reach 70 (formerly 60) .. the game gets really really great.
You can do PvP with the PPL you know, you do Instances or Raids with your Guild etc..
Everything beneath max-lvl is just hoping the best for that PUG you just entered.
Maybe it's just me, but during leveling I don't even bother grouping with others, it just slows leveling process and I find it very hard to either keep up with some people's leveling speed or not to outlevel others. Nobody does it at the same pace, and as I did 3 levels on just one Sunday (67-70) others do that in a Week.
So heck yes, the only guys I can really count on are those lvl 70 Guildmates or Friends whom I know they're great and will do PvP/Raids/5mans with me.
Everything beneath that is just .. painful.
And no, I'd never pay a Goldseller or something, although I once paid my younger brother to Farm Aldor Rep in SMV cause I wanted to go out with my Girlfriend and was sick of farming.
Sep 28th 2007 5:14PM rofl..
who ever said that there are problems with the Sound Engine Blizzard used?
It's all about bad drivers on Creative's end.
I can't remember even one driver that somehow worked the way I expected it to (huge CPU utilization, lagging sound etc..)
When I got myself Vista I just tossed my Nvidia out of the window and lived happily ever after.. no way I'll ever go back to those drivers.
Sep 25th 2007 6:04PM I had a G15..
And although I was quite happy with the LCD (especially for the Teamspeak Plugin) I found the G15 keys had little to no use however.
They are just too damn far away from the WASD keys that they could ever possibly be of any use in WoW or any other game. If I have time to watch down to my keyboard, search for the GXX key somewhere to my left, I could also do that with my Mouse - period.
Only that clicking that with my Mouse doesn't require me to remember what goddamn key I've bound that thing on the 3rd button from the left to.
So hell, I had spent 80€ just for the LCD KEyboard.
And.. guess what? It came down to being damn unergonomic and taking away far too mutch space of my desktop, so I switched (after serious health issues with that gigantic brick of a keyboard) to my beloved Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard.
I also had bought a N52, but couldn't figure out a way how I could control a Tank-Warrior better and faster than with my keyboard (lack of buttons, etc .. keyboard just worked out so mutch better, although I tried it for 2 weeks)
Jul 26th 2007 5:52AM let's try
Jul 3rd 2007 1:58PM We also switched.
It's just so mutch better
Jul 3rd 2007 12:52PM Why I play a Prot warrior?
Don't know .. I grow tired of complaining about tanks..
Jul 2nd 2007 3:14PM That was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about the WoW Ress system back in Beta.
"Damn, I would love hardcore mode" ..
After having played beta, and having played about 2 days straigt to get do lvl 18 or so (with dying every hours twice), i just started thinking.. hmm.. maybe hardcore mode wouldn't work here..
So .. hell yes, hardcore would be great. But not in WoW.. Not with this community. Getting ganked is hard. Getting really killed is just insane.
Think about one lvl 60 guy. Having played since server start 24 hours a day for 2 days. He would be lvl 50, sitting in Westfall killing every guy coming from elwynn ..
What can you do against a lvl 50 char with mere lvl 18?
nothing.. If he has 5 friends who do the same. . that server is just nuked.
Jul 2nd 2007 12:15PM Btw..
on exploring, something weird happened to me:
I went afk while on my Flying MOunt, flying towards the Netherwing Island in SMV.
When I returned, I was dead, far far far away from the Island.
So .. what happened, my Combatlog didn't even notice I died. I was just dead.
Even better: I tried it again and was stuck with a invisible wall...
any explanation why I died?
Jun 28th 2007 5:55AM Same thing goes for hunter pets.
If you want to dismiss it without loosing happiness, simply order it to stay and run away, it will despawn and loose no happiness.
