I dont know if you remember but CloS used to be a 41 pt sublety talent and on a 2 min cooldown.
Blink, Frost Armor, Frost Nova, Raged Frost Nova (with Pet), Blastwave, Cold-snap to reset all of your frost CD's (including your pet afaik) any rank 1 AoE that breaks stealth (its ridiculous that a level 10 spell can knock a level 70 out of stealth).
One of my friends has a well geared arena mage (300+ resil, 800 spell dmg, 11k HP) and he takes on 2 vs 1 arena for fun these days. You guys are definately not the squishiest out there.
Warlocks and Shadow Priests seem a lot easier to kill from my PoV.
Nov 3rd 2007 8:04PM Anyone who is complaining about the hypothermia nerf (fix) should look at it from Blizz point of view.
Perhaps they added hypothermia so that mages couldn't actually double Ice Block, the fact that mages worked around it and found another way to double Ice Block anyway required them to extend it further.
As a rogue vs a full frost mage (even without huge resil) its a guarantee'd loss for me. Pet (with ranged ensnare), ice block, frost nova, cold-snap, I typically have to blow all my cd's just to stay out of snares.
Cloak of Shadows (skill) lasts for 5 seconds and is on a 1 min CD, just how long does IB last for ? perhaps they should reduce the CD time on CloS so we can use it twice in arenas.
Oct 10th 2007 12:47AM What I want to know is... when are they going to give us a specific "bag space" for mounts...
Ridable Tabulk (Nagrand)
Brewfest Ram (soon)
Hippogriff (when it's released)
Broom (see above)
I'd love to have some variety when im zooming around everywhere :)
Aug 28th 2007 8:32AM Heck Wind Fury was even nerfed simply because it made Combat *Swords the "only" choice...
Typing crits you for OVER 9000!

Wow web stats, with stats from the Illidan fight...
Look at the top 5 guilds... almost all of the rogues are sword spec.
I don't think this is coincidence,
Heck Wind Fury was even nerfed simply because it made Combat Daggers the "only" choice... even after the change the difference between end-game Daggers and swords is so trivial its barely worth any further arguments...
Mar 13th 2007 9:07PM Playing as a pure DPS class (Rogue FTW) I don't have the same problem as many of the people here (having to re-spec for Raids vs Solo).
However I do have to decide whether or not to spec for Raids (Combat) or PvP (Ass/Sub), even though the actual cost of changing spec at any time is fairly low (oh noes 100g to test a new spec and back isn't that much...).
Even with such low cost associated, I do find that I have to really think about the change, really puts a weight on what my character will be doing and what I want to be great at (PvE or PvP), and I feel having dual-specs would take this away and cheapen the game a little.
Finally doing this doesn't give you more choice, it takes it away from you... It's no longer a choice as to what spec you go, you simply spec full Prot and then change to Fury when need-be (less choice IMO).
Feb 28th 2007 10:23PM Yeah I'm a bit annoyed at the information that this tool shows...
Going up against an arena team, simply grab their char name and search it and Bam! you can see exactly what spec, and what items they have.
It does have some uses, however I'd really like the option to make profiles(character-sheets) more private... ie guildies only...

You Fire [Bullet] at Fel-Legionare
Fel-Legionare is Immune
Fel-Legionare casts Immolate you take 134 damage
Face it we'd only have like 5 Stamina max (the average gamer would be closer to 1)... one stab from a lvl 1 with a knife almost kills us... we're basically a civilization of lowbies
