Jun 5th 2009 8:31AM I hate the tags on crafted gear. To the point where I avoid crafted gear whenever possible. If they gave me an option to hide those tags, or if I could find an addon for it, I'd be a much more sane player.
Mar 8th 2009 11:37PM You fail at picking a flower when you don't know exactly which part you're going for. You don't just rip the plant out of the ground, you strip it of its flowers, seeds, leaves... whatever. When it's orange to you, it's a new plant and you've gotta figure out the best approach. By the time it's green to you, you know exactly what you're looking to gather, and it's no problem.
That's how I've always looked at it. Same with skinning or mining, it takes practice. And something like Talandra's Rose is a little more complicated than, say, Silverleaf.
Aug 1st 2008 7:09PM I've always loved this item. And I can't wait for when Illusionary Tactics does a post about this one, and the comments are full of nerdrage about how this has already been covered, learn to factcheck wowinsider, no journalistic integrity!
Jun 26th 2008 12:13AM My shaman happened to get the Hand of Justice from BRD the only time I killed the Emperor on her. Unfortunately, she was resto and has been resto ever since, so I never really USED it. But it'll be in my packs forever.
I also keep my Pendant of Myzrael, just because it's such a stupid item.
May 24th 2008 3:01AM I'd love to see engineers get a utility belt that gives them a third trinket slot that can only be used for their gadgets. I love my Goblin Rocket Launcher, but it's hard to justify keeping it equipped when there are so many more functional trinkets out there.
Sep 3rd 2007 1:10PM Smoke break, go fix a sammich, see what my roommates are up to, etc. Or I open Wowhead and play around with the talent calculator.
Aug 27th 2007 3:27PM Just adding my 2c on the Roof Stalkers in Orgrimmar.
Those were mainly added because, using no exploit at all, it's possible for you to get on top of the Orgrimmar Inn. From there, it doesn't take much to harass the people below as they hearth in, or run from the bank to the AH. I did it on my paladin last Christmas, just rode around on my reindeer and spit on Great Father Winter... nobody bothered me the entire time.
To prevent people from using this area (where guards won't aggro, either), they added the Roof Stalkers. None of the Alliance towns have such handy hidey-holes, so they don't need equivalent guards.
Aug 20th 2007 1:32AM A druid friend of mine was harassing some Alliance outside RFK, and decided that if he jumped off the Great Lift, they'd follow him.
Then he remembered that you can't use Flight Form in Azeroth. SPLAT!
Aug 19th 2007 11:03AM The spell graphics were a lot more impressive in that video. I don't even recognize some of them, but I wish I had them in my spellbook. Also, I think that the ice shackle was a single-target version called Chains of Ice, which functioned just like Shackle Undead... only for anybody.
The thing that I'm saddest about, watching that, is how much smaller they made towns. If that human was running through Goldshire, I'd much prefer to have an actual town to having two houses and a few fences.
But that's just me.
Aug 15th 2007 12:34AM Madoran has the Friends of Fantasy (Alliance) and Fiends of Fantasy (Horde). I'm pretty sure they're the same guild, but it's an interesting idea.
