Nurse Jackie: Health Care and Cinema (season finale) {AOL TV}

Aug 25th 2009 9:33AM Want to see where Jackie's husband's bar is in real life?

I recognized it last night as the corner bar across the street from the building where I lived until I was 10. It's in Astoria.

Why can't Eva Longoria Parker get her own damn Heineken? {AOL TV}

Aug 20th 2009 2:27PM Beta apologists LOL.

Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.5 - DVD review {AOL TV}

Jul 19th 2009 1:41PM Unless, of course you don't really want to own this because you, as a rabid fan, hated the finale. And what better way to hate the finale and practice your masochism than buy and extended version of Godbreak?

Brad, I'm actually glad there are people out there who enjoyed, or at least can ignore, the way they closed things up. I, for one, hated Caprica, not because it was that bad, but because my brain kept reminding me that every word and every action taking place had no meaning, as none of these characters could change the outcome of the story. With some god or God running everything of a cliff, why try to steer? Just do like the colonials do, drown yourself in booze and drugs and sex and filth until you die.

Owning this would, for folks like me, be an exercise in self-hatred.

I have already pre-ordered the S4 soundtrack, though. That stuff just kept getting better every season.

On behalf of Battlestar Galactica, you suck, Emmy! {AOL TV}

Jul 17th 2009 1:50PM While the acting, the effects and the music on the show were excellent, the writing was not.

Perhaps this will motivate future casts of this caliber to intervene more actively when a Moore delivers the disaster of a script that was the finale. If they refuse to perform such drivel, they'll get their Emmys.

Also, Rescue Me last year was a tad weak compared to previous seasons - and compared to their current season.

The Shield never really got the love it deserved.

Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad: The TV Squad Interview {AOL TV}

Jun 19th 2009 3:22PM I suggest Breaking Bad to every person who will listen, and every one who has tried it is hooked. Truly amazing work.

The Tudors: Episode 8 (season finale) - open thread {AOL TV}

May 26th 2009 8:58PM If you folks head over to the Showtime site for the show, you will see that they have an extensive database of the show's characters, including everything they've changed, added and deleted, and in many cases, the reason for the change.

Fallout 3 DLC coming to PS3 beginning late June, two new multiplat packs announced {Joystiq}

May 19th 2009 10:49AM I understand you guys removed the PC section from your website, but not even mentioning the PC version in this post is unacceptable.

Do you want to see these Battlestar Galactica actors appear in Caprica? {AOL TV}

May 14th 2009 2:59AM Or we could just let God decide whether they will be on Caprica.

The new Star Trek flick has started a Trekkie civil war {AOL TV}

May 10th 2009 1:34AM Ron Moore? Really?

"The planet had to die because God wanted it this way."
"The green girl Kirk boned actually was an angel, who disappeared into the ether right after her scene."

Set phasers to EVANGELIZE!

(sorry, still ticked off about the BSG finale)

Say what you want about Abrams (and I agree with Mike's argument, although I lack his passion, which I reserve for... other issues in life), but he sure succeeded in getting a whole lot of people talking about this movie, and I'll bet that most of the anti-rebooters already sneaked into the first Imax screening alone, and will deny it with their last breath.

No matter what he did, there would be the same naysayers screaming about how he mishandled the reboot. I'm pretty sure his skin has become ablative armor from similar experiences with Lost and some of his other work. He knew going in this would happen, which is probably why he felt free to make such radical changes.

May 10th 2009 1:09AM "I'm not making this up, it is what it is."

Just a short reminder that this is fiction we are discussing. Anyone involved in creating or discussing a work of fiction is, by default, making it all up.
