I was literally in tears at work over the first and third pictures.
Jul 6th 2007 1:12PM Nice Ghostbusters reference.
While its a cool idea, I just can't see it happening. It moves the game too much towards "well why can't I do this then?" in terms of customization.
Let me put it this way: We can't change the color of armor, or our hair? Change our alliegance? No wai.
What needs to be done is more quests in the mid game. Yes, it's a beaten to death request but it makes sense. The Blood elf and Drainei lands get you to 20 faster, are more stremlined, and give you better quest rewards along the way. By continuing to trim down the middle of the game, not to mention having new content that is the same old same old, leveling characters to OL would be fun enough that you might no have an issue rolling an alliegence parallel to an alt or main.
Innovation > customization.

Jun 29th 2007 9:55AM "Why would you intentionally handicap a class that wants to heal you? Do you *like* having fewer viable healers available to you?"
Druids are by no means handicapped right now. At all. Not giving them something wouldn't un-handicap them.
And the argument of why not to give druids a OOC rez isn't about having fewer healers available at all. If you dont' want to heal as a druid, then you can go feral and be completely competant. If you want to heal as a druid, then do so! Every healing job has it's limitations. Normal shamans complain they don't have a reliable way to dump aggro as a healer, priests talents are lacklaster, and paladins lack HoTs and group heals.
Not giving a job something can NOT hinder them further.
Imagine paladins had a group heal that was wildly ineficient. Would they use it? Probably not when they have FoL, the most mana efficient heal in the game. Could it over power them? Absolutely. It doesn't matter if it's inefficient (and I mean to a point... I'm not talking drains all mana to slightly heal everyone here), the fact is that by giving them a group heal, you've allowed them to do something they couldn't do before. Ask a holy paladin what the one thing they wished they had was, and the one thing that would make them absolutely unstoppable healers. It's a group heal spell.
I've thought for a long time the IC rez druids have is on too long of a timer. There's no reason a tree druid shouldn't be able to cut that time in half, and the reason I think that is, is because a healing druid should do everything healing wise better than say... a moonkin druid.
But OoC rez? Get real.
Jun 29th 2007 9:20AM this is by far the worst selection ever or anything
...sorry I'm feeling about an 8 on the sad face meter. However, these are far too long to be "captions" save the first few.
Jun 26th 2007 2:43PM Put me down in the free speech category.
Listen, if someone aks you not to say something, because it it offends them, then try your best to say it. Or else you're just going out of your way to be a jerk. Inversely, if you're offended by a word someone says, explain it to them articularly, and then cut them some leeway if they accidently do it again. Or else you're just going out of your way to be stubborn.
Fact of the matter is, our culture is VERY sensitive to the ACTION of being raped. Americans in general consider rape and child molestation to be just as, if not more severe than murder. When you're the lowest of the low among convicted felons, it really shows how bottom of the barrel society considers you. Fact is we tolerate a lot more intolerable acts than rape.
But words often take on multiple meanings, especially the longer that passes since its origin. I think most people that use the word "rape" use in the vein of the term viking "rape and pilige", which has very loose connections to the sexual act. The way we use it today follows that sense closely: a total gutting.
Either way, be considerate to each other, but allow people to be themselves too.
Jun 25th 2007 11:11AM "Okay! Sheep moon, snare square, chain trap... guys? Guys? Okay! Blizzard all it is."
Jun 22nd 2007 1:20PM Ironic. I thought the three things games need to suceed was:
Blizzard has 2 of the 3 on lockdown, but quite frankly, we could use more women in the equation.
My solution? Female driven and oriented content.
Here's some ideas on how to achieve this:
1.) Instead of Herod yelling "Blades of Light!" he could yell "I baked you fresh brownies!"
2.) Women enjoy designer sets. How about some elegant cloths with benefitial stats.
3.) moar kittens
4.) Since Darnassus ... well... sucks, Tryande should go around amking the place look "fabulous". Redecorate the whole thing pink and add streamers.
5.) More dances. Women love to dance.
6.) moar things that sparkle to dsitract them
If implemented, we wouldn't need goldsellers, we'd have a virtually under represented market tapped!

guess that female Belf Rogue didn't do anything for you?
i'll agree though there should be at least one female included per series. Unless its a female dwarf, gnome or ... well any non Belf Horde.
