Mar 20th 2010 8:27AM Welfare Starcallers Spotted!
(Algalon in T9+)
Nov 8th 2007 9:19AM As a T5 rogue, my standard pack entails:
1 stack of each poison
1 stack of blinding powder
1 stack of Adamantite Sharpening Stones for those pesky poison/bleed immunes
2 stacks of Flash Powder
1-2 Healing Potion Injectors and/or a stack of the zone specific variety
1-2 stacks of buff food (either AGI or Ravager Dog, and some Stam food for fights where I need to take a hit)
Flasks of Relentless Assault and/or Elixir of Major Agility
Various Engineering gadgets (Repair bots, jumper cables, etc.)
Aug 30th 2007 10:02AM Anasthetic Poison is basically interchangable with instant poison - I use it on fights where I end up riding the aggro line really closely.
In general, I use instant for trash, deadly for bosses, and the others are situational.
Jul 8th 2007 9:28PM Lightwell is great in fights where melee DPS takes a lot of AoE and does a lot of running, but heals can't really be spared for them.
Best example is Gruuls lair. Being able to tap a lightwell as I run in after shatter or run out after taking 1 or 2 ticks from caveins while smacking the fat bitch means that I can keep myself up better without beggin the already extremely stressed flashhealspamming pallies and priests to waste their time throwing out renews. It lets us look after ourselves without needing to take ourselves out of the fight, and in a 25 man with 2 holy priests, it's fairly easy to keep one near the target throughout the fight with some careful cooldown management.
Jun 22nd 2007 10:51PM Is there any reason to hold onto this if I have better?
Is there any possible need to see into the ghost world in Shadowmoon after the gorefiend chain? or is that there as a nerf to make wearing the helm a bit more dangerous in Shadowmoon?
Jun 19th 2007 11:58AM As a Rogue, I want Might over Kings for PvE.
Kings only really becomes better than Might for a rogue if the rogue has over 1k Agi and Str. Both of them. Or 2k agi.
really, only 2 stats actually matter at all to a rogue in an environment where a pally is buffing us. Agi and Stam. Strength is low for most rogues, so 10% boost is maybe 15 ap at best woo freakin hoo. Int and Spirit are beyond useless to us.
220 AP on the other hand is worth far more than the 500 hp I'd get from kings if I have salv and/or know how to control my aggro. Especially if there's a priest around to give me fort.
So, to summarize, the Rogue order should be:
Rogue: Salvation > Might > Kings > Light > Sanctuary
Wisdom is utterly worthless and if you give rogues wisdom you are just throwing away reagents. Not worthless in the sense of not sufficiently effective sense, but rather, worthless in the WE DON'T HAVE MANA sense.

IN the vein of wehaveyouonfarmstatus and exaltedwithyourmom, how about Your Mom Is On Farm Status?
Jun 9th 2007 2:16AM Okay, so take your basic, AB style, map with spots to capture.
Now, rather than having to hold these positions to build up resources to win, lets work in reverse.
Each capturable position on the map is worth a certain number of Rez's. When a player dies, one rez is deducted from the nearest cap with repop points availiable controlled by his own faction. If the opposing faction captures one of those positions, the number of rez's remains depleted - this a zero sum game. The objective is to kill all members of the opposing faction at a time when they have no repops availiable to them, resulting in a win. Thus we have a battleground that encourages actual PvP combat as well as simply capturing and holding territory - you aren't going to win if you don't do a lot of ganking.
If you want to reduce the imbalance of twinking, you could even make it cost more to rez higher lvl of better geared players, essentially eliminating the need for a matching system - sure that 29 twink will do a lot of ganking - but if he does die, it's going to hurt his team BAD on the respwan points.
Apr 28th 2007 10:57AM Rogue.
In any game, I've always been drawn to glass cannons. And while in theory a squish like a 'lock or mage is even glassier than a rogue... they're also a lot less exposed to damage.
Apr 20th 2007 8:49PM I have my ghetto homemade fashion set.
