Blue Posts: (More) LFR loot rules clarification, item squish, DotA-style BG, spoilers {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 4:12AM Lookie here men, another pro player that wants to tell us we're playing a video game wrong. I sure learned my lesson. The next new raid that pops up for LFR, I'll play JUST ONCE for the story, pass on any loot because they're "silly and not really progression", then quit my subscription early due to not having the time/luck/feel like to get into a "REAL" raid and using LFR for the sole purpose of showing peasants like me the story.

Yeah there's no ulterior motive here Adam. Blizz doesn't want me to keep coming back and resub$cribing so I can finally finish my tier set that keeps getting vendored because they wont change the loot rules for that very reason. Because playing wow for loot IS SO FRIGGEN WRONG.

God, people are so friggen thick, they cant possibly see how other people can play the game differently than them, or settle for anything less than praise for their beloved Blizzard.

Mar 20th 2012 3:41AM God dammit I keep forgetting to turn off replies so I don't get spammed from 20 different people hatin' on my bluntness. The point I wanted to make was Blizzard won't "fix" the loot system so drops will be very unlikely to go to someone that already has it equipped. You all cool when someone wins gear you need but it ends up as vendor trash because joe shmoe won his 5th chest piece in a row?

Blizzard is cool with it, and thus another week added to farming the gear that went to waste. And let's be honest, every lfr dragon soul group is there for drops, not progression or the story.

Mar 19th 2012 11:06PM You heard it here folks. Wasted loot is OK with Blizz. They want you to pay for another month because you lost out on that bow or sword AGAIN that went to some moron that left before distribution and is now sitting in a hollow chunk of Deathwing, lost forever.

Mists of Pandaria: Cool class stuff we found {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 12:45PM They got rid of the no auto attack for monks? Thats a pretty serious blow to combat. IM pretty much done with the auto target games, and it would have been cool to partially get rid of that in wow.

Mists of Pandaria: Siege of Orgrimmar {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 11:50AM I love the system. Means I can read the important black and blue posts first, and gloss over the rest, saving me time!

Nah, I really have the whole comment system here. The voting just adds extra annoyance. Almost as bad as youtube, where way too many people try too hard to post "sound bites" hoping to get voted to the top.

Mists of Pandaria: Siege of Orgrimmar {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 11:31AM My prediction: All of the war crime charges the horde have done will fall squarely on Garrosh, who will die and take anything bad the represents the horde with him, giving the fraction a clean slate. Also to make room for the grand entrance of the Messiah, Jesus of Azeroth, who will return to the horde bringing his superman powers with him.

Know Your Lore: 5 must-do Alliance zones to complete before Mists {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 8:16PM I refuse to play these zones, or most of old world ones actually. I already know most of them end unhappy for alliance, and I dont want to be perpetually angry at the crap deal we got and know that updates wont come for another decade or never.

Breakfast Topic: What would be your biggest Mists of Pandaria surprise? {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 12:39PM I want to hear about new character models. Thats the single most important thing I want in the expansion. Call me crazy or shallow, but if I can see how beautiful remade and reanimated my millions of toons are, I'd definitely come back to play MoP. A huge company like Blizz shouldn't be dragging their feet with even seemingly unimportant aesthetic upgrades. Not when they got even more very good competition, from TERA's action combat completely free of auto target/attack, to GW2's thoughtfully created personalized player stories. And of course, beautiful characters and environments.

Completely new and updated player models are what a lot of people want and have been asking for a long time. Id be pretty insulted if they only thing they did was add a few more half assed punch and kick animations to the current models and call it a day. It pretty much says, "Buy and play the new expansions races if you want a cool character that isnt made of suck."

Breakfast Topic: Are sexy transmog sets OK in your raid group? {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 11:28AM My human hunter begs to differ. I took him to raid DS last night and did half the bosses shirtless. He got a few catcalls on top of some loot.
