EyePhone reference mysteriously disappears from online clips of Futurama {Engadget}

Then explain why there is missing text saying "eyePhone" when Fry is showing Leela his apology video. This is clearly not just a mistake.

But the most obvious answer is that someone asked for it to be censored - and the most obvious people to do that would be Apple. So your "Occam's Razor" argument doesn't hold water, I'm afraid.

If Apple were able to launch a legitimate legal challenge to the episode, then that would be a freedom of speech issue - that's my point. Besides, the government doesn't have to be involved for there to be a breach of human rights, so I'm not at all sure what your point was.

Jul 3rd 2010 1:34PM Is the American legal system so completely f-ed up that Apple would actually be able to challenge this? What the hell happened to freedom of speech? I'll keep all my CCTV if it means I can criticise stuff without a cease and desist letter, thanks very much.

No, but if you're ever caught using another editing app you will be shunned for all eternity.

What mr waffles said. Slowly but surely, every USP of the iPad is trickling down to the iPhone (and presumably iPod Touch 4), making the assertion that it is more than an oversized iPod less and less true. If the iPad was actually differentiated from other iDevices in any way at all bar size, I wouldn't mind so much. But now they share the same processor, the same resolution, and the same apps. The iPhone even surpasses it in some respects, for example double the RAM.

HP TouchSmart tm2t review {Engadget}

Slate =/= tablet. How many times does it need saying before people get it. This is not a competitor to the content consumption devices known as slates. This is a fully fledged content creation device for a price that is miles ahead of the competition. If you don't have a need to make hand-written notes, or sketch directly onto a screen, then by all means wait for a webOS slate. Otherwise, this is a seriously nice looking piece of kit.

That's my point. If you honestly think that an iPad + netbook = TM2, then you either have no idea, or would not be using the USPs of the TM2, both of which equate to it not being the device they should be buying.

You still mentioned it when it didn't need mentioning.
