MMOs only go down from their peak. When they go down, they go straight down; they don't go back up, they just go down slower. No matter what the pre-NGE fanboys claim, SWG wasn't going to ever turn around and gain WoW's 10 million players."

SWG did not flip anything or gain anything, they have shut down a majority of their servers, combined servers, and they are still empty.

I signed up again a few months ago to see what has changed since the NGE, sadly nothing has changed, still no content, and every city is a ghost town. All that is missing is the tombstones and tumble weeds.

Mar 10th 2010 9:29PM Ok, so Pre-cu was a bugged, incomplete game.

What it did needed was a few fixes, and definately ALOT more content. Running the Corvette, Geo caves over and over again just purely was not enough for dungeons. There was plenty space to make more dungeons, bosses etc, but they thought the fix was a complete redesign of the classes and combat.

Which is what it DID NOT need. Combat did need a bit of a balance, keeping someone knocked down the whole fight is not good combat. But now, it has dumbed down attacks, 1/3 of the classes and you can only customize you character to play the way you want a fraction of the way you used to be able to.

The old talent tree skills was the most inventive, customizable, unique, and fun way to build a character out of any MMO, past, present or probably any in the near future.

It needed content to keep customers coming back, it needed more armor and weapon choices.

It didn't need to be dumbed down, and made less customizable, and less choices for attacks.

If they were losing customers before the CU and the NGE, how much have they lost since? The biggest nose dive was after CU, not before.

Breakfast Topic: What will be the first thing you do in patch 3.3? {WoW}

Dec 8th 2009 9:02AM Why is there never no tank love? First no Kirin Tor tanking ring, now no tanking Quel'Delar Sword/Mace/Axe.

If you are a healer, caster dps, or melee dps there is a Kirin Tor ring, and now a Quel'Delar sword or a mace for you, but no tanking stuff.

Dec 8th 2009 8:54AM Gotta love all the optomistic people out there. Quite a few people are saying, "Going to get my Quel'Delar"

Not, "Try to get the Broken Hilt to drop"

But they are going to get their Quel'Delar like it's given to them or able to be bought. Heck, one guy even said his whole guild is going to get their Quel'Delars. Like they are all going to get it before dinner.

Good luck guys, the realist here says, I'm going to start the long grind of trying to get the Broken Hilt (1-2% drop in the new heroics) to drop. And if your luck is anything like mine, hopefully we can start the quest by Christmas time.
